I'd ask the seller for closeup shots of the brake rotors and as much of the suspension as you can get (where the red possible reflection was), and try to get some photos up on a lift. It does look pretty good if you like red and everything checks out.

also I thought the black BaT rx8 was a GT but it’s a Sport. So my bad.

For any car from a salt area. An engine bay shot without the cover gives a lot of info as well. Very hard to hide the rust in that area.
oh my lord, thanks u guys so much, imma ask for those now, thanks again, i had heard about those salt states issue from time to time, but no clue how does that really affect the car. Thanks for the info,

Don’t forget to add the 5% plus shipping costs when you’re thinking of the Red R3 from Ohio. The Blue R3 in SoCal isn’t that much more expensive and a California car. Meaning no salt or rust.

i wanted to buy the socal one, but he is not currently Cali, so he wanted me to wire the money 1st then release the car after it clear. Asked him to do it thru Tred but was refused.
then the front bumper damage was a deal breaker too. So hard to find one when u r actually in the market for it.

I wouldn’t stress too much about the rust just because it’s from a salt state, I purchased mine from my one and it had none whatsoever, garage kept never driven in the winter/snow, but ya guess pics wouldn’t hurt , good luck.

Thats cool and all you got an rx8. But I find this comment a jerky move when the OP was also going for the same car. IMHO I’d have started a separate thread sharing your purchase. Rather than rubbing in in the face of another perspective buyer.

Damn, i was waiting til the last minute to bid on but kept see it going up. If it was within 500 miles from me I would have bid upward 18k 19k, but in OH i gotta include the shipping charge.

My apologies, I didn’t mean to come off like that I just happened to get back on here after 15 years and logged back in and everything and I stumbled across this post. I can see how it could come off that way.

Big fan of metropolitan grey myself. You’re going to love it.

That looks awesome....i still havent picked mine up yet....theres many hoops to jump through with BAT sales... I think ill keep mine for about a year or so and consider selling (if i can stomach letting it go). I had a 04 and sold it before I ever got to visit the "tail of the dragon" down in the SMokies....I told my son one day I would take him on that road in a rx8 so now im chasing dreams....
