my main concern for you would be spell check, your posts read like a fifth grader typed them
if "power is your main consern" (lol), then look elsewhere. This car wasn't designed to be a powerhouse, it was designed to be a practical sportscar. You won't be moving mountains, towing boats, or winning every stoplight rice...er...race with this car. What it does give you is a very comfortable car that you can drive everyday without worry, while also giving you something that can hold its own at the track or local twisties as well, all the while giving you room for 4 people and looking good at the same time It's no FD, but Mazda clearly stated at the onset of its development that it wasn't going to be.

Yes - admittedly, it's not a power beast on the low end but it's pretty quick in the upper RPMs (in my opinion). It handles well, looks great, and I enjoy it.
Last event I attended, the second fastest car out there was a stock '04 RX8 on Kumho V710 tires.
There were a several M3s and a few WRX STis as well - even a full race corvette. The RX8 smoked them all. It's a very capable car. Only one car, an Evolution, was faster. Funny how such an "underpowered" car can be so fast!
Plus, its a real head-turner and a blast to drive every day.
That's my take.

Seriously... you shouldn't have to ask if the 8 is good at autocrossing if you've ever seen the results from any national autocross in the last 2 seasons.

Only the cons out measure the pros for the most part in the opinions of a couple of the the Rx8 owners I have talked to only due to power and engine trouble.
But every thing else sounds good I thing with the right mod's I could really be some thing... I'd like to already have mine. Im shooting for the silver one with the
black interior and the privious owner had the stock rims powder coated a weird
Bronze gunmetal...
