Unhappy Well..... add me to the list

Today at lunchtime, some dude decided to make a left hand turn even though he couldn't see around the stopped cars in the oncoming inside lane. Guess who hit him broadside in the outside oncoming lane?!

Yep, you guessed it........ me! I'm bruised and really sore and my feelings are very hurt, but otherwise I'm doin' okay. It definitely could've been a lot worse.

Here's the pics of the damage -

Can I have your RX8 B-pillars? :D And your 3rd brake light logo? :D j/k

Seriously, I'm really glad you're ok. I'd have to kick some *** if I had to see you in the hospital on my trip next month. Keep me updated on how it goes and let me know if my (and everyone else's) experience can help make yours smoother.

Did I mention that I was happy you're ok? Because I am. :o

Dang Shari. Like everybody else I am happy that you are not hurt any worse than that. You can always replace a car. From the lick it looks like the car took I think your car did her very best to protect you

Girl, you know I don't have a 3rd brake light logo.... I wanted one though! :D If I can unstick the B-pillars without messing them up, they're yours.

LOL... I had to go to the emergency room for x-rays, but I'm okay. I'll probably definitely need ya'lls input since I've never had to deal with this sorta thing before. I'm worried about all the $'s I've put into it and whether or not the insurance person will know what the heck is what. Somehow I'm doubting he will. I want all that stuff paid for if my car is totaled!

Thanks, Tiff! :D You know I'm not gonna miss the BBQ next month no matter what.

dang shari! That totally sucks but I'm glad you're ok.

It seems as though our 8's are constantly victims of undeserved aggression. I had a close call myself this week.. but that's another story..
Honestly though, I hope they total your car and you can get a new one. But what will you do if you can't get Ti Gray and have to get Gx Gray?

WOW, the curse of silver/grey strikes again. SORRY MAN, im glad to hear your doing ok.

When i wrecked my prelude i got paid out for all my mods. Make sure to have the adjuster take note of everything. The geico people couldnt find prices for my parts so they just asked me to get them quotes. Of course i called joetech (biggest rip off in dallas) and they gave me quotes which were outrageous I then turned those in, and got the money for them... HA! SWEET.

After the wreck i was really pissed, until i bought the 8... weird how it all works out in the end.

I am so sorry Shari. I saw the picture from the newspaper. I am glad that you're alright (as well as can be expected). Keep us up to date on your situation. Take a page out of Tiffany and be very forceful when you speak to the other persons insurance company especially since he was named as the party at fault. Demand that you get a rental vehicle that YOU would find as a comparable replacement while yours is in the shop. I had a friend that wrecked his Jetta and the insurance company tried to give him a Cavalier for a rental. He ended up driving a Volvo S40 which is a nice step up from the Cavalier. Also since his wife ended up with a broken foot he was told to ask for pain and suffering which was about double the amount of the total hospital bill. If the insurance company starts giving you a hard time, don't be afraid to consult a lawyer and having that picture with you taken from the scene of accident on a stretcher can only play in your favor. Remember this is your BABY they are messing with.

Your neck hurts, right???

Not to be the ******** everyone knows me for, but knowing Mazda's designs; that car is very most likely totaled. One of our FD guys down here had his car looking somewhat similar and it was totaled.

Please say you are going to replace it with another.

I hope the cops understand what happened and you don't get blamed for it....when they came to my accident they told the woman she was getting a ticket for reckless driving and she got all confused, appearantly thinking it was her right to turn whenever the hell she felt like it.

P.S. If it's totalled, and you replace it with another 8, dont' get silver or grey, and accidents will avoid you

ALWAZL8, oh my gosh!

I was horrified to see those pics of your beautiful baby

*BIG HUG* from your peeps out in Cali. I'm really glad you're okay.
Take care of yourself and if you start feeling any pain a few days / weeks from now, make sure to get yourself checked out. (symptoms often take a while to pop up. )

Let us know what the insurance company says.

Dazygirl is right though... you could end up with a pretty cool looking '06 if you play your cards right.

Yes, my neck REALLY DOES hurt.

I just got back from the body shop and the manager there doesn't think it will total. There would have to be at least $20k worth of damage for the insurance company to total it. I guess we'll see.....

Oh MOST DEFINITELY! At this point, I wouldn't drive anything else. I walked away with some scratches and bruises and hurt pride. It could've been a lot worse. My 8 did her job well!

The other driver got the ticket. He told the officer (and it's written in the accident report) that he couldn't see around the stopped traffic so he "went".... what an idiot!!!!!!!
