I showed up at Joe Myer's Mazda last Friday UNANNOUNCED, to get my warranty part (the center consol lid was loose and they replaced it with a NEW one.) and to get my RX8 flashed with the latest and greatest flash.

They were way backed up and asked if I can come by on Monday. I did, even brought my dog with me. They not only replaced the console lid, they re-flashed my car without any questions. The only thing they wrote down on the work order was "sluggish acceleration".

I asked the techinician that worked on my car a bunch of questions. He told me that there was not one M flash, but a bunch of them. one's for performance, ones for CEL's, ones for the oil pan, etc. I chose the performance one. They have been GREAT!!!!! If anyone is interested in buying a car, goto Joe Myers!!! Great people.

BTW, I filled up my tank right afterwords, and had to drive to Austin today. I was averaging about 16 MPG, (have a heavy foot), but when I filled up today, I got 19.75 MPG!!!!!! My average speed was around 80MPH mostly highway driving. Ya'll need to get this M flash!!! Car drives more smoother too.

Anyways, what is this Flash you speak of? I saw a couple people mention an M Flash and also an L Flash?

"Flash" is another name for a "software upgrade" for the E.C.U. (computer) in your 8. Typically this improves gas mileage and makes other minor asjustments involving the performance of the car.

 

The only thing false about this post is "Aggie's rule!!"
