Seems her's is more modded than Really's stock shinka. Is there a performance addition to the Shinka's we dont know about? I have been wanting to find a way to turn up the low end on it. I would like to see a quicker jump off the line than she gets.

If the Shinka is manual you will have a 40hp jump on Jen's because of the auto. The downfall of the rotary is the lack of torque. You can do somethings like lightweight flywheel and pulleys to get it to rev quicker, but short of adding boost or changing the final gears not much you can do.

Your the only ones with a auto 8. and its not that we would race to see who would win. its that we would like to just see what our car would run. if we run agains anything other that a white smoking ricers, we prolly cant beat them. and they dont allow cars like those ricers out there. lol we would just feel dumb racing agaisnt this hopped up 350 S10 truck or a funny car(gees that would be bad!). With a car as nice as the rx8 you would think it would be faster. but you and me both know the autos are gutless on take off. which would kill us on a 1/4 mile. Not that these cars are really made for straights. Made more for curves. We just wanna know what it would run.

Not tellin ya to come out. We just didnt know if yall did things like that or not. Im willing to bet a silver penny that you went alot when younger, so did I. But didnt know if yall still went or not.

P.S. We have thought about later on supercharging our 8. but we dont know what we will do. maybe turbo. Who knows.

 

I am down with racing Jen in my shinka, I just don't know when or where you go to do that. LOL and no I did not race cars when I was "younger" I honestly did not really get this into cars until I got my 8. Although I have always wanted a '65 Camero. BTW I would love to find out when the Jay, OK Cruise Night is and maybe we could make it a group thing, possibly race some 8's out there.

 

We could do it at the mid night drags! I'm just down for seeing what our 8s would run!

 

IFO comes to tulsa sept 19th!!! We all have to go to taht as a group as well as the Jay curise night!

Also David will also be going with us this weekend.

 

BTW I found out that the annual Jay Cruise night is August 14th.

To those that didnt make it. Sorry you were not able to come hope you can make it to the next one Copperhead run is a pure joy to drive in these cars, (cept for Dodge Dulleys and Dollar General Trucks getting in the way) Its 14 miles with 28 turns that you can push your driving abilities to the limit on. and that was just part of the trip.

 

did have alot of fun!! Even though I have no 8 to take with us. Still enjoyed the ride and getting to hang out with everyone. Dually trucks and Family Dollar trucks do get in the way. But lets not forget the chevy half ton we made mad and tried cutting us and 8erade off from eachother. Besides that was alot of fun! We will have to plan another trip next month! Looking forward to it!!!
