Heres a link to the springs you have on your car now. Not for sure if its the same drop. I think it is but not for sure because they where on our car when we bought it. So your guess is as good as mine. We traded the stock springs from the car you have because my wife will never do any racing in the car so they where pointless to her, and our buddy that had your car said he would trade us. Rather us having to buy stock springs from someone else. So theres the story on your lowering kit. lol. Hope ya enjoyed it.

We would but last time we entered the car in a show we lost our asses off. Seems like the judge on how clean your car is top to bottom. And not what you have done to the car. If we can find out what kind of judging they do at IFO then maybe. But most likely not though. But hey, Ill let my wife post and let her tell you what she thinks about it.

xtreme- thanks for the info and the engine has a life time warranty through that dealership. And i know i have a long ways to go but before this i had a 02 mustang gt heavily modded it ran low 11s before the engine blew so i am just trying to gain knowledge about this motor compared to my v8 this is almost a completely different world and this car is like a giant computer lol

I think I might be going to the mazda one with Jimmy, it sounds like it might be fun, thou I don't think there will be any crazy driving like the 8 only meets.

well id be pressed for time i dont think i can get there by 1 or 2 since i dont think the mazda cruise will be done till like 4 so ill have to miss IFO but we can put a meet together and get lunch or something one weekend

 

The ifo goes till like 630 so ill be there all day. But we can put a meet together one weekend. Just not the 11, 17, or 16 of sep. Lol and I only get sundays off. So if its done on a sat please make it after 5 so I can attend.

 

I'm in for the 66 cruise. Got the car back and she is running like a champ. Looking forward to meeting some new people.

 

jim they put a new engine in right? or is this the engine u had ported and what not

 

No mazda gave me a brand new engine. I was completely shocked. I expected a reman. So no porting for now. I'm have about decided to not sell the car and just buy a 10g family car for winter. i got 92k on the original engine and now I'm back to 0. And I've already replaced the other things like radiator, ignition. They only things I don't have are the cobb and my hood.

 

hey jim do u still have that extra set of springs and im glad ur keeping the car its sick sucks u dont have the hood or cobb but at least u still have a bad *** car! Im ready to see it at the meet!

he said he had a set of eaibechs that had like 60xxx on them but maybe im crazy iv been reading so much on here lately i can be confused trying to get all the knowledge i can!

I still have the Racing Beat springs that took off for the S-techs. I'm doing the fronts this next week and I'll bring them to you. If I get a chance before the meet to get them to you I will.

 

If I'm lucky, I'll start walking with both legs in a couple of weeks, but the real issue is my vision. I saw the neurologist yesterday and he just wants me to wait it out and let everything heal on its own, so until the double vision is gone, or has greatly improved I wont be driving or even looking for a new car till I can test drive and what not, so my guess is another month or so. You just never know with nerve damage I guess.

 

It will happen before you know it. You can always roll with me. You know its on next April.
