Test drive at Jeff Haas

Rumor has it, a conversation such as this happened in the car while I was driving on a back road behind the dealership.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"How fast did you just get it up to?" asked the salesguy.

"105." I replied.

"The last guy got it up to 130 on this road. And, just to let you know: the limiter comes in at 150."

"Thanks, but I don't think I'll be going that fast today."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now that's a helpful salesman. Of coarse, this is all rumors. Your actual test drive and conversation may vary.

They have a standard test route that turns right off the I-10 feeder and then takes some S-curves and gets onto a quiet dual-carriageway where you can easily get to 100mph+. At the end of the test route you turn into a huge empty car park to do some figure 8s etc. Very good test route - also has some bad road at the very beginning to see how the car handles bumps. About 12 miles and 20 mins total.

Just wait until I-10 is 24 lanes wide... :D Only 5 years away now... I can't wait for my commute time to be cut in half

Remember- If you build it they will come. Do you really think if they build more lanes that they won't just fill up with more cars? Look at LA

dropped by Marks yesterday.. saw the Yellow / Black / and Silver RX-8s... I really like the look of the black one... the yellow just didn't look right.. it seems the body styling of without the appearance package is too mild for the color... any thoughts?

is there a green one anywhere in houston ?

Joe Myers had Yellow, Black, Red, Titanium, Silver, and Green the other day. 290 at the Beltway.

I wouldn't buy anything from them, but you could go look at the colors.

Sure they'll come, but I hope I get a couple of good commuting years out of this new concrete playground.

Have u had bad experiences with them? Im thinking about buying my car from them since they have that "free tires for life" thing.

Jay Marks told me that they have a $2000 markup on the cars there. I havent had too much experience with Jeff Haas...
