shopping for L in central texas

Hi All,

Just registered last night. Looking for a good dealer in Central Texas that will go with X-Plan (or S-Plan, rather). I'd love to buy this week if possible.

Looking forward to joining the RX-8 world. Actually, this car is for my fiancee (or so she thinks :D ). However, I'll be the one adding mods when the time is right.

Are there any local clubs that get together?

Call Mike Moran over at Mazda South (Austin). He can, and will, help you with whatever you need.

Thanks for the info so far. I called Mazda South earlier and they gave me a 'no' on an automatic (I know, I know...but she has to drive through downtown traffic all the time).

I'll try again and give Mike a call specifically.

thanks,
Rip

Hey Gang!
It's me again. Go on vacation and come back and everything is different. Couldn't remember my password and kept getting a technical difficulty response when I tried to retrieve it. So I set up a new user name! In regards to the Splan on automatics, they are still in short supply and I do have to look out for the wellbeing of our salespeople. If you'll remember back long ago, I requested feedback on Automatics and everone thought I was crazy for ordering 20%. Thankfully I kept them in there and the last few allocations I actually went about 75% automatics. Bottom line is I'll have quite a few automatics hitting the dealership in the next couple of weeks and we'll open those up to Splan also. I can lock in the arriving RX's on the Splan if you don't mind waiting. Good to be back!

Hi budaman2,

Is it you that I called earlier on the automatics at Mazda South?

When do you expect some in? More like a month or more like a week?

Everywhere else I've tried thus far has no automatics. The search is widening... Waiting for a few calls back from San Antonio, Bryan, and DFW.

Try Steve Evans (G.M.) @ World Car New Braunfels - 800-580-1245 and tell him Dave sent you ($1k off MSRP)

Premier Mazda south of Georgetown does in fact use the "S" plan. I know I used it... I assume we work for the same company... what building are you in ?

Hi Lufa,

Not sure if you were directing the question at me or not. I'm working out of my house right now, so it's not me.

What options are you looking for on your automatic? More than one dealer reads these posts. We can't advertise here, but I can let you know if I have what you need in stock.
