San Antonio Inspection - Tint
I just recently moved to San Antonio and need to get my RX-8 inspected. It's my understanding that the level of tint is part of the inspection. My car is currently 20% all the way around. The law states that front driver and passenger window must be at least 25%.
I've lived in several other states where the tint was too dark, but it was not part of the inspection process. In my 9 years of owning the car I've only been pulled over 1 time and given a warning in Virginia.
Does anyone know of an inspection station in San Antonio that will overlook the tint?

You have two choices, comply with the law, or attempt to find someone who Willing to pass your car illegally. There are such people out there, but it may take some work to find someone. What you want is extremely risky for the guy/gal doing it. Large fines and jail time is possible for the offender. Even if you get an inspection sticker, it still gives law enforcement probable cause and you can still be fined. Seems easier to just get the correct tent level to comply with Texas law. I suppose moving to a state that allows that level is an option as well.
