For all of those out there who have started a club in your area...how do you go about doing it? Second, would anyone who lives in Shreveport, LA or northwest louisiana or east texas be interested in joing an RX8 club if one was created?

The Fort Worth crew started one week when Mr. Ed and Jenkins met at Starbucks. The following week Mr. Ed, Jenkins, Ajax and myself met at a restaurant. A week or two later two more members showed up, Slim and Nyt-Owl. Over the past year it’s grown and the same applies for the Dallas crew. When we’re all together, we’re HUGE!

It gets going by word of mouth. Talk about it, keep asking if people want to meet up, post flyers on cars when you see them – don’t give up.

Bluzoom and AForce8 are 8 owners and they live in Shreveport. ALWAZL8 lives in Monroe. I know they’ve been trying to recruit others that live the in area. I’ll let them know that you’re interested in getting something started.

 

cards/flyers at dealerships, hang outs, and car shows in your area for one thing. There's a lot of free resources out there such as Yahoo groups etc. Be persistent and patient, it takes a while for any kind of club to get going, but once you do it's a lot of fun

 

I'm in Monroe and I know there's at least one 2nd gen RX7 owner over here who would also be interested in some meets in this area. Aforce8 is always putting out flyers over there tyring to get others interested.
