RX-Club of Houston July Meeting - July 1st 2008
RX-Club of Houston July Meeting - July 1st 2008
Greetings all,
It's that time again, time for the July RX-Club Meeting. This months meeting will be held at Gabby's BBQ just off 610 North Loop. This is a great location with plenty of parking so let's see what kind of turnout we can have.
Last month we had a good turnout, but there are plenty of you who were missing.
Come on out and join us next Tuesday night!
Date: Tuesday, July 1st 2008
Time: Meet in the parking lot as early as 6pm, head inside for dinner around 7pm
Location: Gabby's BBQ - 3101 N Shepherd Dr Houston, TX 77018

With 4th of July around the corner and autocross on Sunday my week is pretty much booked.
AutoX = Sunday
4th = Friday
Meet = Tuesday
How the hell is your "week" too booked for a Tuesday meet if all your plans are over the weekend?

I'd love to go, but my car is wounded at the moment. Oil light comes on randomly, CEL flashes if I redline, the car wobbles enough to give you motion sickness on the highways, every start is a hard start, coolant leaks...
...She's old, seen many miles, and has endured the torment that is my driving over many an off roading adventure.
(Compression tests are still through the roof, though! RONG RAST RENNY!)
You know what they say:

60% of the time, they work ALL the time

You point out one of the important reasons our meeting are held generally on Tuesday night.
If you at home and the worst thing that is going to happen to you is that your going to die if you miss Celebrity Family Feud there isn't much reason not to come out.

Yeah 6:30 is good, the early birds get to the meeting about 6... then most everyone shows up between 6:30 and 7. We leave that entire 6 o'clock hour open so people can chat and check out cars but also so we can accommodate as many attendees schedules as possible.
We herd everyone in for dinner about 7:15 to 7:30.

Sorry to hear that Woz. Hope your feeling better soon.
Thanks to everyone who came out and braved the heat to enjoy the meeting tonight.
If I recall we had dozen or more pairs of rotors, a few Miata and a lone Mazda6 showed up tonight along with a small army of non-rotary powered vehicles.
We are all looking forward to seeing the JC Cosmo next month. Don't let us down Jake!
Here are a few random pics, if you have any you'd like to share contact me.
