I was wondering if anyone in the rx8 community are interested in joining the MSR track day on 5/9/10?
So far, we have 14 guys from the rx7 club showed interest. I still need at least 6 more to make this happen.

I was planning on being in the DFW area on the 7th-8th. I might be able to stay another day and make it happen.

just got an email from MSR for payment info and final schedule for the event.

We can do a Focus Day for you guys on the 1.3 mile track on Sunday, May
9th. This program provides basic performance driving instruction on how
to drive a road course in a fun and safe manner.



Our format is as follows:



* 12:00 - 1:00 Sign in



* 1:00 Classroom Session 1

Introduction

Safety and procedures

Driving techniques



* Lead & Follow Session 1

Pace cars lead two groups

No helmets required

Passengers allowed



* Classroom Session 2

More driving techniques



* Lead & Follow Session 2

Pace cars lead two groups

No helmets required

Passengers allowed



* Classroom Session 3

Advanced driving techniques



* Group A open track session

* Group B open track session



* Group A 2nd open track session

* Group B 2nd open track session



* Track secured at 5:00



The cost is $95 per driver with a minimum of 20 drivers, maximum of 30.
There can be only one driver per car, no sharing of cars. Passengers
are allowed in the two "lead and follow" track sessions, but not in the
"open" track sessions. Helmets are not required in the "lead and
follow" track sessions but are required in the "open track sessions".
We have a supply of helmets to rent for $10.73 each, tax included.
Everyone in attendance is required to sign the necessary insurance
waiver.



Please ask your participants to email or call Ami Atkins no later than
April 23rd to register and pay their $95 fee. Ami can be reached by
email, ami@motorsportranch.com or telephone, 817-512-3151 from 9:00am
until 3:00pm weekdays.

alright guys, if you are serious about doing this, you need to call them and pay for the event. We only have 3 weeks left to pay. If we don't get enough people, they'll cancel it and refund the money back. Don't wait till the last minute

Yes, the format is correct. They will separate the group into A and B based on track experience.

Only 2 more days left to register. Last I heard was they have 10 people signed up so far, still need 10 more to make this work. Don't wait till the last minute.

The event is officially canceled. I just talked to JC and he informed me that only 11 signed up. Amy will refund everyone with the deposits either today or monday. Sorry that didn't happen. However, TDE is having a 3.1 event on May 15-16. Price is $295 I believed for those who still wants to do a track event. This will be a 2 day event instead of 1 day. I will be instructing for TDE so if you do register, come by and say hi.
