Thumbs up Roger Beasley in Austin

I live in North Texas, but was having a lot of trouble finding a dealer who had an 8 in stock that met my needs.

I found my car at Roger Beasley in Austin. I had two guys helping me out there...Rush and Justin.

They quoted a very good price on my trade-in site unseen (the car I delivered was exactly as I had described it to them).

They had the car I wanted in stock, so they ran financing, cut me a deal, and I drove down to pick it up the next day.

They treated me like a king!!!

I highly recommend the drive to Austin from anywhere in the southwest USA. They will keep their promises. You'll save $$$ AND the drive back home is a wonderful bonding experience...

Car salesmen that treat it as a profession...what a concept!

Glad you had a good experience, but from several stories, it's been a mixed bag with Mazda North in Austin. But I've only heard good things about south.

I've bought 5 Mazdas from Roger Beasley Mazda in Austin. I'm not necessairly a Mazda nut but when a dealership treats you as well as the Beasley group (from sale to service) you tend to go back. I would venture to say that a good 15 or so friends and acquaintances bought and raved after I recommended Beasley. Ownership of both the north and south stores is virtually the same so i can't imagine there's any difference in attitude.

Are they still not really willing to deal much in regards to MSRP?

Their price was like everyone else's...sticker. I haven't seen anyone in Texas negotiate off sticker yet.

You have got to be kidding? I just ordered one 3 weeks ago
at a negotiated $750 over invoice...or $1,890 below MSRP if
you'd rather look at it that way. Roger Beasley does indeed
rock and there is an EXTREME difference from one to the other
amongst his 4 locations in and around Austin.

Now back to patiently waiting for it's delivery.

Which location did you go to?

I believe that your the only one who has reported a mediocre experience. Sounds like many of the people who post regurarly on this forum are in the South area. Small demographics and may not represent the whole. But glad to see so many happy owners of the 8.

Actually, my wife and I live a stone's throw from Mazda North these days, but we continue to take our business to Mazda South because they've always been so good to us.

AMEN! I take my business to Mazda South also, and I live 150 miles away in Houston.

Best dealer I have ever dealt with.

Mazda Bastrop is by far the friendliest and most amenable to
reasonable offers. Do not deal down from MSRP but do the
research and bargain up from invoice. There is good info for
you at www.kbb.com and www.edmunds.com as to actual
invoice prices for base vehicle and options.

Regards, Last_D8

P.S. Ron Kennedy or Mike *** are the guys to work with there.

If anyone lives in Austin or even Houston and is thinking about buying an 8, I think it's worth the drive to San Antonio/New Braunfels. World Car (Jim Gise) gave me a deal of $1k off MSRP. They have about 5-6 more 8's on their lot.

I accually bought my MP3 from Mazda South in Austin. I live in Arlington. They treated me great (even though my ex-girlfriend almost screwed me outta the deal with her antics). I got to drive the car back to Arlington without a finalized deal to seek better financing from my credit union. I'm so glad it worked out.:D They took a chance on me, and I am a definite customer now!

I think they restructured Beasley North about 9 months ago. I put down a deposit on an RX-8 last year in June. Between then and January, they moved to a new location (across the street) and it appears they cleaned house. I didn't recognize anyone. There was a glitch on changeover (they had fired the guy who too my deposit so I needed to bring in the receipt) but since then, they've been stellar. I've been pretty impressed with Beasley North.

I don't know much about the deals you can get there since I took delivery about 1000 miles ago :-)

I called Mazda South a few months ago and asked what was included in the 120k service on my '88 Rx-7. They said oil change and tire rotation. I called Mazda North and they had a much better answer. ::shrugs::

A few days ago, I went in to Mazda South and I got a 30 minute test drive in an 8 with no supervision. I also didn't show them my id or insurance and I went in looking like a 19 year old kid (which I am) so I was really surprised.
