Toyota of irving Sucks!

Ok this deserves a write up for you DFW people.

As some of you may have read, I was looking at possibly getting another vehicle and had an appointment to go look at one Saturday.

Reason for trading: (so you can have the background info) I am only 20 years old, and right now I feel I would like to spend my youth experiencing more things. I'd like to travel, and spend more time visiting friends. I would like to spend more money on savings, and gifts for people. I would like to start buying nicer furnishings for my place. But in order to do this, I will have to cut back on spenditures somehwere. I figured the car would go. It would be a significant ammount of savings, and I could always get another, but my youth I can never get back.

So I find a cheap car I might want. 2004 Subaru Impreza RS.

I go to Toyota of Irving to check one out.

I drive it. It sucked. But I knew it would compared to an 8.

Now we're wheelin and dealin.

3 hours.

Now not only the normal car salesman, but the internet salesman is in on this now. And at this point, since I was asking a lot, he comes in and sits down, and pulls out a piece of blank paper. He writes some numbers down, and says, "Ok here the deal. this is the best we can do (which was pretty close to what I wanted) sign here, and I'll take this back to my boss, and get him to aprove it. Then you can go back to financing and fill out some paperwork."

Well, I didn't expect to be there as long as I was, and I had somewhere to be that night. So I tell him. This is not the deal I wanted,so I need to think about it. Let me go home and sleep on it, and I;ll let you know. i don't want to rush into it right now.

He got upset, and says, "No, if you're going to do this you're going to do it right now. There is no deal tommorow, or next week. We can only do this deal because it's the last selling day of the month, and we haven't sold a car today. You have to do it now, or we don't do it."

Well, I was thinking, screw you. But I was calm. I told him, "sorry, I'll take my chances getting another deal."

He was pissed. He didn't say a word. he stood up real fast, crumbled up the pice of paper, and threw it on the floor! And stormed out. Then the other salesman in the room, was starting to leave, and I, stil being calm, said "Look I don't want to be pressured into this right now. trust me, if Idecide I want it I'll come back at the end of next month when you still haven't sold that car, and you'll make me another deal." He wouldn't look at me and he responded, "If you come back we won't even talk to you, we don't waste our time twice."

I was soooo mad at this point, I could have killed.

Then I drive like an hour away to this party. well, he has the gaul to call me back, and say, "I talked to my bosses, and batted in your favor, and they said you can still buy the car, but only if you come in today you can still have the deal."

I was like "heck no I don't want your deal, in fact, I don't feel I should have been...(click) - HE HUNG UP ON ME!

Don't buy from them. They are ********!

So I still have the 8, and I"m glad. When I got back in and started driving it was like heaven again...lol

I guess I'll have to cut back somewhere else. or Just ask for a raise

 

mitsubishi of irving was the same way. I talked to the internet manager about a rx8 and he acted in nearly the same manner as you describe.

It's really a shame that people are like that. Word of mouth gets around and it doesn't help that I think all car dealerships and salesmen are crooks and thieves.

Needless to say, I won't be purchasing a car from the dealerships in irving, they all seem to follow the same pattern.
