I'm signed up for the DE at TWS on Oct 29th and 30th, and this is the first DE I'll attend since moving to Dallas. (I'm from Houston). Does anyone know of approved shops in the D/FW area to get Tech'ed at before the DE? I was unable to find this information on the LSRPCA website.

There is lots of good info to read there before going ot your first DE.

Here is the specific info you requested:

Prior to participating in the DE event, you must have your car technically inspected. In general, any authorized Porsche / BMW dealer (or a dealer in the make of car you will be driving) can perform the technical inspection, as well as independent garages who service Porsches or BMW's, etc. If the location you are interested in is not on the following list of Tech Stations, call them first. In any event, you must make an appointment for a technical inspection. There may be a charge for this service.

Personally, I am not sure if I would goto a dealer to get a tech inspection.. if you mention a driver's education event.. .they might mistake that as "track time" and could possibly use that against you in a warranty squabble down the road.

I actually got inspected for my last DE at ProTechnik, but I'm in Dallas, which is 3-4 hours from the majority of those places.
