I think someone owns trademark to the "Got Rotors" tag line... I would be careful using that one..

Jenkins--I like pics 1 and 2... where exactly is this park? I'm digging the big area behind 2... I'm thinking football? :D
It is Noth of I-30 at the end of Cooper, or west of 360 down Green Oaks, very easy to get to.

Thats a bummer, that park looked nice. I think she was looking for parking to be pretty close to the pavillions.

Ok, The Elm Grove Pavilion is available right now from 11:00 am till they close. It is $60 to reserve for that time block and $25 to get the city permit. So that is not to bad, $85 everything. There are just regular park rules, but if we want to setup tents, bring alcohol, live music or anything like that we have to get an extra permit. So I think we will be fine there, we shouldn't need any other permits. There is seating for about 60 people but they said we can bring lawn chairs if we need additional seating. That pavilion does also have electricity if we want to use it. There is something going on there from 7-10 that morning so parking should be open by 11. Maybe some of us locals can get there early and put up signs and kind of reserve the lot Let me know if you need more info!

There are also plenty of hotels around I-30 and Collins St. to stay at because of Six Flags. So lodging is only a couple miles!

And please, oh please, let me work on that thing so it will blend in with the blue forum skin....
That signature is close enough in size (line wise) to get by. If you made it a little shorter, it'd be better.

The correct size is specified in the FAQ.

Essentially 20k or smaller and the equivilent of 6 lines of text. (that does not include the oversized text either)

BTW - you have some time to work on it .. im not hassling you guys about it... (yet)

The way its been done, if you resize it more, it'll look bad. Let me get back to the drawing board, and I will send one that'll comply with the sig requirements.
Edit: here is an update! One for each forum skin...

**************** UPDATES ****************
  • Added event date, location & map to the BBQ homepage.
  • Added a contact form for parties interested in sponsoring the event: http://www.myrotarycar.com/BBQ/sponsors.asp
  • Updated some of the text throughout the site. HELP: if someone has some better writting skills than I do -won't take much effort- and is willing to type a description of the event in a promotional / catchy way, I will really appreciate it. I am a good techy person, but I suck at sugar coating things.

Here is how the demographics look like....

That's it for now, I will keep updating this very same post so as not to clutter the entire thread.

Looks like i'm out of Jail now. Food cost for David and I were right at $300 from sams. That was 35lbs of beef, 120 hotdogs, 300 drinks, 100 bags of chips, condiments, ect... Fed all 100+ of you people and we still had plenty left over to feed another 50 I'd say.

This sounds like a like a lot of fun guys. I registered already. The Austin trip was great and though this is local for a lot of us it will be great to get together with the gang again.

Ok, just got the number for my Uncle's shop. He does tents, chairs, Margarita machines, etc. Basically anything needed for parties. Let me know if there is anything we need and I can see what I can pull off.
