Just trying to get a feel for how many 8's we got in OKC and surrounding areas. At the very least we should try and meet up and hang or even get a run or something going for the summer. Post a reply if you live around OKC.

Currently living on the north side of Okc. I've actually seen quite a few 8s around but hardly any of them are on the forum.

 

I've seen a few around the quail springs area, however I've never stopped to talk to any of them.

 

So what are you thinking for your first mod???

 

Im not really sure what I want to do for a first mod. For me, this car will be more expensive to mod than all of my previous cars just because Im not going to cut corners and by off brand parts like I did for my eclipses and celicas. If I do a body kit, it will be a full MS kit from MS. Nothing like dropping 3500 on 4 parts ><. Not sure if I want to lower the car either just because the roads in south edmond, north OKC suck major @$$. Ill let you guys know when I decide though.

 

Just get some small stuff first. Get some clear corners to start.

I got the clear corners done and i tinted the headlights. Also, I changed the interior lights to blue leds. Next up... ??? I have no clue.

 

In Edmond off 2nd & Western - I see a few RX-8's about and always do the friendly wave - only gotten a few waves back tho. There is a local Rotarty board, Phat7s.com, however, no one seems to go there much. Also on ok-speed.net there are some Mazda folks who have meets, but by looking at the pix only a couple of 8's there. I agree we need to have an RX-8 Meet soon - would like to meet some other folks. I remember Worm from about 4 years ago when I lived here b4...don't think any of the other old RX8'rs are still around from those days -

 

Well does everyone wanna try and make Import Face Off on the 19th? We could make this a meet for us plus a cruise.

I'm in Moore... Having a clutch issue. Anyone no a place i can go to get it checked out thats not a dealer? I was driving home one day and shifted from 2nd to 3rd and the clutch pedal did not fully depress. I gave it some gas and it popped out. I Thought it was fine untill I tried shifting out of 3rd... NO CLUTCH. when I press it in I feel a pulsing in the pedel when the car is on but can't shift into gear. I have searched hi and low on this site for an answer and have come up with nothing. I never had any problem with my clutch before. have had the car for about a year and a half. no slippage or stink. always seemed tight. Any suggestions?

I am in tulsa, but I starting have the same issues. Come to find out my clutch pedal assembly had broke. I didn't find out until after my clutch went out. Mazda warrantied it. I would crawl under the dash and check the welds in the assembly. This is a known issue. Hope this helps and good luck getting it resolved

 

Emery, I thought that was you. I haven't been to the theater in a while. Do you think you guys will be able to make it out to Import Face Off on Sunday?

 

If I have my 8 back by then I will. Took it to the shop yesterday. Apparently blew apart the clutch and pressure plate. I figured thats what happened. If it's done by sunday i'm down for a meet. I got a new phone so I don't have your number anymore. Send me a text. 503-989-0722.
