Official SARX Lounge
I know you guys haven't done a lot of research on these, but looking for more opinions on which might be the better choice. I'm pretty much down to picking between 2 S4's. One has ~80k miles and the other is about ~115k miles. Visually, both interior and exterior, they are very similar in condition. 80k has wood grain while the 115k has the sport interior with brushed aluminum. Aside from that, they're almost identical (in terms of options from factory). They both seem to have been taken care of very well and have good records.
The difference (to me at least) is in the mods. They're both very well modded and put out quite a bit of power. The 115k puts out a little bit more, though it's hard to say if it's worth it. Here are the ads for each and the dynos.

Finding out what all those mods net you would take a while, but you can get a general idea of what's what and what it generally does. I feel that the tune on the 115k is a little more conservative as a result of the extensive modding. I'd imagine there's a bit more room for power on that car despite the fact that it's putting down more power. That said, if all things are equal, it's hard to dispute the 35k mile difference.
I know this isn't the car you guys would probably be going for, but you're car people so I feel you can at least give input. I'm really split on which car might end up being the better purchase. I keep wanting to say that 115k is the better car, but I kind of feel like the 80k might be the safer choice.

I would go for he 80k car man, just seems better to me all around. RS4 wheels, maintenance, etc. But I wouldn't buy either site unseen. Buying a modded car can be tricky.
Yeah, that's why I'm trying to narrow it down as much as possible. When there's a distance involved, it's difficult to seriously consider too many cars.
80k did tell me that the valve cover gasket needs replacement... which isn't necessarily a huge issues, but still something I'd rather have taken care of before it becomes my responsibility.
I've been talking with the 115k guy for a while now, so I definitely feel bad if I back out. While we haven't agreed to actually proceed with anything official, he has been very responsive and patient. I'm not 100% decided still. I'm awaiting a response from each of them which may make or break the deals. Talking to 115k about price and asking 80k about getting those repairs taken care of prior to purchase.

hmm i'll chime in even though i have no knowledge of this car 
first thought was 35k is a big difference, so go w/ the lower mileage car. BUT, if that guy is super responsive and patient as you say, maybe he took great car of it. also, not knowing about audi's maint. schedule, but even though 80k sounds better, and is essentially 2 to 3 years "less old" mileage-wise, there may be 80k and 100k maint. that would have to be done shortly after buying the 80k car. i know that could quickly be a couple grand that maybe the 115k car already had done. May not be a big deal if you'll do most maint. yourself
power differences seem essentially negligible, at least to me. is the 80k car claiming 535hp?? i don't see that from the chart.
other than that, i don't know much about which price point is better.

The 535 is based off of AWE's claimed hp for race gas. The dyno was using either 91 or 93 pump and is actually higher than AWE's claimed numbers, so I might expect even more with race gas.

I've been talking to the guy with higher miles for quite a while longer, as I first contacted him when I thought there was a chance for my car to be declared a total loss. I still feel that, parts wise, I'd be getting more for my money from the higher mileage car, but I'm starting to lean towards the lower miles. The power difference is rather minimal and would be fairly easy to make up for on my own if I really felt like I needed more. I got a response from the lower mileage guy and he said he'd be willing to take care of the gasket and exhaust leak prior to purchase and seems like he is willing to work on price and such.
