yeah im just started! is just my first year and yes im planing to install the brakes when i install the new wheels. dunno maybe in 2 or 3 weeks, maybe im going with your buddy hector to check the prices on some toyo tires i believe toyor1r dont remenber but i saw it on tread depot for around 200 each

just a heads up to the peeps who post in this thread, I've got some stuff for trade or for sale. I have -

full set of stock calipers
stock bumper (blue, might have some scratches or light damage)
authentic Mazdaspeed front bumper (yellow, has a tear in the top of it, just haven't gotten around to repairing it, it has aftermarket higher grade mesh for the grills etc.)

I haven't seen the blue bumper in person, from what my friend told me the damage was to the bottom of the car and they replaced the entire bumper anyway so he kept the blue since it was in such good shape. The yellow mazdaspeed is mine and got backed into so that's how it got cracked, it is fixable but we just haven't had time to knock it out since he's been working nutty hours and I have as well. I prefer not to ship (yikes what a nightmare), in no hurry to sell or trade, not looking to make a fortune so I'm open to whatever. I'm keeping it on the downlow and posting it here first since I've gotten help from people who post here before.

in other news..

I drove my car quite a bit yesterday, took it to the local cars and coffee, still has a CEL, code and the scanner gave me something like pb5259 or something similar, it actually cleared it for all of 2 seconds lol From what I can tell that is a generic code so I'm sorta' stuck but I haven't given up yet .


edit: I'll have some pics tomorrow when I go to pick them up,(they're cleaning house at the shop) if anyone wants them just pm me your digits and I'll float them your way.

 

also i was looking for a BFgoodrich g force t/a kdw or michelin sport a/s.. but i dunno yet.. lets see whats happend in the couple of weeks

 

I can vouch for the kdw's, I have them on mine, they're a little noisy but a good compromise of grip vs. wear, sidewalls are crazy stiff as well.

 

I need that WB bumper like a crack head needs crack, or a bath salts addict needs human flesh!

I need that bumper almost as much as Jennifer love hewitt needs to marry me.

Oh, and

******* locked my keys in the 8 while it was running with my cell phone on the passenger side seat. Luckily I keep my house keys separate but I don't have a spare to my car.

It's strange because you cannot lock the door while it's running unless you are in the seat. I started it up to warm it up just like I do every day and when i went out to leave it was locked.

We tested it after the locksmith got it open and it would not lock while the car was running so it must have been a glitch of some sort. More reason to get my keyless entry system installed ASAP.

Update on the bumper action, Shady had to pass as it's the wrong shade of blue, it's actually phantom blue and not winning blue, it is in fabulous condition though so if anyone's looking for a phantom blue factory bumper hit me up

April's car is Stormy Blue.

 

stormy blue has the mica in it correct? If so then this is definitely phantom blue, it's the dark blue with no pearl/flake etc.

 

Yea they are different colors, stormy blue looks more purple, phantom blue looks more green, winning blue looks more winning.

 

Stormy blue = best rx8 color

 

bb=best 8 color. newbs. red=worst
