I am actually setting aside about 10k for the car, engine and upgrading brakes and suspension.
What about the SC? You should get one in red.

so i am still happy with my purchase.
worst case worst i pay another $2,500 to have motor rebuilt.

then id have a perfect 8 for $5,000 total.
can't beat that seeing how i was going to finance 1 with cloth interior
for close to $13,000
hes saying he only spent 3200 on his car, he was going to buy one that costs 13k.

Its a pretty good deal but its still a 4 port

Just picked up my 8.

Drove it all way back from universal city to my house near sea world,
man it drives awesome!!! Love the handling!!!

Felt like a million bucks lol.

Now few things. radiator light is on, weird cause he had it replaced 3 months back, does not overheat.

Also im sure the cat is clogged. the plastic above one of the exhaust tips is melted lol
so not sure why cause the other is not melted at all.

Either way im pretty stoked right now!!

Also ac compressor is out and the guy said so is my power steering,
i thought the 8 had electric steering?

it does feel tight but very drive able

When my engine went, I melted the shroud on the left. Cat was fine. Radiator light is probably the sensor going bad in the overflow tank. Not a big deal probably. Unplug the sensor and watch your fluid level from now on is the cheap way. Steering/AC is not my forte.

The Coolant resevoir is a common issue with the sensor alerting you coolant is low when in fact it is not.

well, just took car on 90 and opened it up redlined etc,

and bam! now my check engine light went off.
and the car revs without any hesitation.

what happened?

Have you changed the plugs and coils yet? I'd do that ASAP with any 8 unless you know the owner did it in the last 10k or so miles.

Coils are hit or miss but I would change them every 30k, plugs should be changed once a year unless you rarely drive it. Don't forget the wires too.

Sea foam will not reach the ssv and as told before driving on a clogged cat will damage your engine. As for sea foaming, better disconnect the cat from the header or you are going to create more damage than you might already have...

I'm not being serious, that is the dumbest **** I have ever heard and there is a good chance you will flood it. You need to pull it out and clean it properly. Have you even checked the SSV to see if it is stuck? Search for the thread on how to remove and test it.

SEARCH MAN!!

Yea man 3 people on here sprayed the carb cleaner in and it worked.

I will get it done right according the the 1 thread. that your talking about.
that 1 made the most amount of sense to me any way.

Dude, I would seriously take a step back and just stop working on your car.....at little research goes a LONG way. Or better yet tell us after you blow a can (or 2) of Carb cleaner through it.
