Official Mod Day Thread For SARX
How much time does it take to paint calipers (including drying to the point that it's drivable)? I probably have some free time this weekend but not too sure yet. That's one thing I've been thinking of doing since I got my wheels. Not sure if I want to do red or black though...

it takes only about 10 minutes before it is dry... and you do not have to remove the calipers to paint them...
What is the Air Pump Delete for? My engine is coming along slowly. It took me all day today just to swap everything onto the new engine. Well I spent almost 3 hours on the intake manifold with seafoam deep creep and a wire brush. i was amazed at how much gunk builds up on the valves... hopefully tomorrow everything goes in and I get to drive it home....
Well, BHR emailed me back saying they didn't have the pads I ordered readily in stock so they would take a week or so to ship out. He asked if I wanted to cancel my order or if I wanted to wait. I told him I'd be willing to pay a bit more if there was something similar in stock.
I'll post the full story in the lounge, but I wont be doing brakes this weekend.

Hey 9K i was really excited to hear about your LED 3rd break light but now that I see it I wish it had about ten times the actual Led lights. The red was really the way to go. Looks Great. Sorry just a nit pick not really a big deal.

So we knocked out Grungepups springs (Tein H - Tech's) and met a new member (Kingstinger) and determined he has a failed air pump and may need a new motor. Today after 2PM I will be doing some exterior stuff, chasing a leak in my OMP, and if I get ambitious I may do my fuel pump.

So we have been talking.....
and for this Saturday we were thinking about having a Minor Mod day. Doing simple things that wouldn't require getting too dirty or too tired, while at the same time grilling up some food and just having a lazy afternoon.
If this Saturday doesn't work for you, post up dates that would and we can make a compromise. We haven't had a monthly meet in a while so this could take the place of it. Everyone that comes would need to bring something.... sodas, chips, hotdogs, hamburgers, fajitas, chicken, or whatever just don't show up empty handed.

Looks much better unlit in the day time too compared to the stock one.
