I just posted a thread in the Gulf forum, but I figure here wouldn't be a bad place either:

On 5/12, they are doing the Houston 1/2 mile @ Ellington Field. You basically get to run your car on the runway for a 1/2 mile to see what it'll do. It's mostly a charity fundraiser, secondly a friendly competition, but mostly it's a chance to drive like a bat out of hell on a runway.

I'll be running, it'd be great to have some other RX-8s there with me, or any rotaries for that matter. If you don't want to run, or don't have the scratch laying around, entry to watch is only $5, so come cheer me/us on!
