hey guys,

its been a while since i posted on this website, but i myself was an rx8 owner from 2004-2009 and i had a blast attending the local houston meets.

this time im back again and willing to organize the rx8 meets weekly or bi-weekly depending on everyones work schedule here at my family business Alfonso's Mexican grill and bar. We have one location in the woodlands on rayford/sawdust and one in conroe if you guys ever wanted to make a scenic drive.

all the same rules apply as other meets, no revving, burn-outs, ect.

just seeing how many people would be interested in meeting up, eating some of our great south american food and just doing what guys do. Im looking at you WILL AND MAX if you guys are still apart of the community.

please, this can be something if enough people are willing to make it out.

im working hard to get up a facebook page so you guys can check out what kinda dishes we have =) so please bare with me and lets try and get this started!

 

Max and Will haven't been out to a local meet since forever. I think Will is actually out of the country right now also and Max doesn't reply to any of my invites in months.

All of the others disappeared also haha.

 

have both $3 domestic and import bottle only, beer special $1 bud light, bud weiser cans, we have micheladas, margaritas, wine, full strength liquor, the works.

happy hour special mon-thursday- 11am-9pm all day long/ and friday from 11am-6pm $2.75 regular happy hour margarita specials!! $5.25 happy hour special for the jumbo margarita!!

try to make it during happy hour on friday cause then drinks go back to regular price after 6pm for the margaritas which are $4.00 for regular and $7.25 for the jumbo

this should be the place for the rx8 community!!!!

 

Sounds like you are advertising more than getting a meet going.

Since you are doing it like him you should keep your meet separated from this thread.

i am advertising a meet thank you to attract more business to this location. In all actuality im trying to get together a planned meet like the ones at freebirds and such. So people can know about this place, i actually have to tell them about it right? Spamming is one thing and trying to get the word out is another.

nobody says anything when they plan meets at other businesses such as D&B. Apart from that, im trying to contribute to the growing rx8 community. A place where 8 owners of all age can come and enjoy great food

 

those still happen btw lol...i just haven't bumped it here cause most of the 8 owners already know its there. mainly rigo, jonathon, the other jonathon, dennis (sometimes), steve, lupe.....yeah we don't have too many 8 owners in houston.

 

trust me i know 8 owners are rare breeds. i used to be one

 

lol tell me about it...say can you send me a pm with your restaurants info??? I'm always looking out for new and potential places for my meet.

yes sugarland. yeah that was me...i thought it started at 8 and there was like no one there so i left. figured next time i should prob show up later but its a bit of a drive for me.
