Well you need new struts, ignition, and probably battery before CAI or exhaust. Your car didn't start too strong and the struts looked worn out.

 

i will need that? my car does struggle a tad on the start up but its fine after that. i wont be getting exhaust but im considering CAI.

 

my brakes or something do also squeak some when i brake

 

Weak start could be battery or ignition or starter or low compression. First two you'd probably want to replace if you just got the car and the 04 starter was too weak to begin with. Low compression would mean it's hard to start the car when it's hot but it'll start fine cold.

 

its an 07' and i got it about 6 months ago. ive never had a problem with it not starting, it just does that little stutter. and how could you tell if my struts are bad or not?

 

How many miles on it? Your car sunk very low when people got in. Ignition (spark plugs, coils, wires) should be replaced about every 30k miles. Assume the people before you never did maintenance. That's the best way of doing it.

 

it has just above 25k miles on it. so im assuming nothing has been replaced on it. i bought it with 21.5k

 

Our Rx/Houston meets are held all around town. If you been around the forums you would realize that any meet will require a drive.

If you got your car used do you have any maitenance records? Does your car feel mushy/bouncy/soft while you drive?

J is just stating the more obvious things car owners on a basic level would know owning an RX8.

 

i have the carfax records and stuff but theres not much on it and its not too detailed so. it feels great when i drive it i dont really notice anything odd, the handlings good and all.

yeah dude its empty till like 9..lol..u left waaay 2 early! its a 50 minute drive for me..so yeah

and about ur car, u can just take it to a dealer to get it diagnosed and see how good it is..i remember when i got mine it had trouble starting like urs..6 months late, BAM! need a new engine..lol..everything they have mentioned 2 u has been replaced on my car and i still feel a bit effie at times about how it feels

 

oh dang. ill keep that in mind next time i go, but i cant stay too long cause i got a gay curfew. im taking my car to get an oil change today so im going to ask the people there if they could take a look at some things.

and on a side note, i met another new owner like 2weeks ago and hes selling his 8 already lol..he assumed if he put intake, exhaust and a few bolt ons it would be a racecar..lol..fail

 

hahah thats just like the people that buy an 8 then complain it doesnt have enough torque. i usually gotta be home before 11.

Hello im new to this forums but not to the game.
Well im 17 in High School I got a Mazda RX8 not from them big dealers it was crash so yeah I bought it for 9,500 is automatic with magnaflow exhaust I decided to join since is strictly for RX8 and I want to learn more of it I don't want to be and idiot(like right now) driving a RX8 and not knowing ****.
The only person I talk to here before was Rigoherrera because of H-I dint know you were in this forum but then again you do have a real clean 8 man. Im located in the Spring area do y'all have any meets near there?
