Its the Sheriffs training grounds. It is just as the name sounds. Its just over a mile. We set it up so you can't exceed 110 or so in the straights. For safety reasons. Cost $5 you can use the track and eat lunch. You have to bring your own helmet.

Will there be a course set up with cones and timing etc or just a drag strip type deal?

Yes, that's how it was last time. Stopwatch timed and one car on the track at a time.
Here is the track overview.

How strict is the helmet deal? Based on mods? I'd like to drive, but don't plan on pushing it that hard at all, plus the car is stock. Last time I only saw 1 or 2 helmets out of everyone.

Wow that looks like a real road course, any limit on runs? Can I bring the Miata instead?

Yeah, how strict is the helmet rule I would prefer to not have to go out and buy one if I don't have to. Plus I'm not a huge fan of helmet hair

We let the helmet rule slide last time. No can do this time. Sorry guys. If you are on the track you have to have a helmet. You can borrow one from someone if they dont mind.

I know they do, but I was just hoping we might not have to. And I agree w/ you, the training ground is a great place to race, I've never really raced the whole track, so that will be different, but fun! I'm def looking forward to this weekend

I want my car there so I can drive it but I'm all about carpooling if someone wants to ride with me. I don't think my sister is going to come, so shot gun is open. It's all you Joseph!

Cool, let me see if I don't have anything else I'm obligated to and I'll IM or call you tonight. I REAAALLY just want to get some track time though, I have a few extra helmets I may be able to bring if I go.

I just wanted to tell everyone thank you for coming. We couldn't have done it w/o you guys. For those who stayed until 5 they got to watch me break a motor.
There are pictures and videos at rotaryrendezvous.com/forum and rx7club. I hope more of you are able to post pictures and vids as I didn't get any.

Thanks again.
