im interested in seeing how much quicker your car is now too. I wanted to keep mine NA but wasnt sure how much of a difference all the money invested would make. My car has a little bit of mods here and there. Ill gladly show/tell at the meet.

 

ya, I wanted too keep it NA because I still have too deal with college, and FI'ing a rotary always seems too lessen the life... Rebuilding is something I'm really not looking forward too...

i was just looking at this and i totally forgot people decided to meet up today, but i guess not? Dang Legend, already boosted? I've had the car for 3 years and haven't even come close to saving up enough to go boost. What kinda job do you have so I can finish off my show car.

 

well going boost but i haven't found someone reputable to tune the car after installation.. I work at a wholesale center on harwin drive. I dont' make much but i saved crazy.

 

it's cool, next wed. it is. Not really disappointed at all, this weather makes my 8 slow...

nope, plan on buying this from what I understand it should be able too tell me the power I'm getting. Mostly looking forward too all the other information it'll spit out... But it'll be a while until then... Gimme a couple of months...

 

keef, with your mods, what kinda cars are you keeping up with?

 

lambo's ;p.. hehe j.k.. with the new raceflash he gets much better control of the performance of his car.. but i don't think he'll be taking out z's just yet.. perhaps a s2000 and he can outrun a type s rsx with ease.. before his raceflash we didnt' get a fair comparison between our two cars (since i missed third and he missed second)

 

I've actually kept up with s2ks without anything really done to my car. Considering those cars have low torque and high end horsepower just like our cars, I'm not surprised that I got those results. Do you have to send your ecu to racingbeat and wait for till they send it back to you? How much does something like this run for?

I dunno if talking about what I can beat and can't beat would be appropriate on these forums. Not saying that I wouldn't tell anybody. I guess this is a good reason too have a meet is too show other 8 owners what the potential of our same cars are under different terms.

I can tell you with everything I've done, my car feels just as fast as it did stock on the most perfect Houston day + a little some... I did the tune last, now that I look back on it I would've done it first.

3)Evo 8 (i know im pushing it)

the reasons why i ask you is because im tired of rice rockets being able to keep up with me

 

zero alone can beat 1 and 2 maybe not by much unless they egg you on to 40 mph start (which I'm sure is the scenario the majority of the time)... modification number six is your best bet if you want to lose 1 and 2.. but all three of those cars are really nice cars why do you think they are rice rockets?

 

I couldn't tell you... The only thing I've dragged against was a modified Evo 8... I'll agree there ricey "looking" and everywhere when it comes too Houston. I'm fairly sure I can beat 1 & 2, but the Evo would definitely need nitrous, which is on my list :/

I'd like too say that with what I've done I should be able too beat any stock NA foreign made vehicle... But sometimes you'll get a surprise... It is A LOT funner too drive my 8 now though, the engine literally came out with a much deeper sound when I sent my ECU too RB.

Lately my 8's been making some funny noises under WOT though... I can individually hear each cycle making a sound from the engine bay, and with this crappy weather we have in Houston I can't put my finger down on any power loss...
