Right around 1960-45, in front of an empty parking lot, once a week some bikers mark off the parking lot and begin performing their tricks... From 10 pm - until late

I've driven by, watched, and seem to be admired... Considering that our 8's are as sexy/sexier than motorcycle's, I think it'd be awesome if we could have some sort of meeting there whenever they meet... It'd be an awesome opportunity for photo's too... I still don't know exactly when they meet (so far it seems random). But if there were others interested then I'll find out.

So anybody interested in H-town?

I'd rather see them do it in a parking lot than on the street! There's also a bike shop next too the whole event, so they might be the ones who manage it...

There is also plenty of space for parking, so don't worry about some bike losing it and smashing into our 8's... We can let all the cheap cars park around us for protection! haha!

Some start at 8, most come around 10'ish. It's right behind Hooters on 1960, adjacent too 45...

as i am part of the motorcylce world i can make a comment.
The problems with the stunters is that it tends to draw more and more bikes, then cars, then kids, then idiots, then the cops start harrasing everyone.
With the new laws past this last year the cops can give u a ticket for just watching the squids altho on public property, not private but the local cops always seem to get around that.
I am all up for a meet of some of u guys and gals, Just picked up a 04 grey RX-8 this past friday and have boocoo questions to ask.

my personal experience is that Police don't spend any time trying to break up bike stunters... Only when cars start doing donuts and such do I see them taking action.

 

Hey, I'm new here and saw this thread and was wondering if any of you have actually met up at this location yet? Its just right down the road from me.

 

My 8 has been having some issues, but I try too make my appearances...

 

1960 & 45....damn that sounds far from me (Kemah). I would like to meet some 8 owners considering i already know some s2000, G35 and 350z. Don't know if this meet is still going on but i'm up for it. BTW there is a houston meet tomorrow @ 8:30'ish called "The Scene" my bad for changing the topic....ttt we go.

well I don't have any work this Wed. so I will definitely make an appearance... I've made friends with the oh so many Honda's that live in that parking lot... But I don't spend any time talking too bikers ... Anyway, I'll be there starting from 9:30-10...

I know it's on 1960 & 45 but anyone can tell me the physical address to this spot? I work that night but i'll try to make it out.

 

It's right at the intersection of 1960 and 45... If you were looking from a helicopter then the parking lot would be on the north/west side of that intersection, behind a Hooters.

okay, so I'm gonna try too re-start some interest for a meet this week...

I've officially done practically everything you can do too an N/A 8, except headers, (internals?), and nitrous... So if anybody in north Houston is interested in seeing what several thousands worth of engine upgrades does, then I'll set the official meet time at 10... On Wed.

 

I'll be there...for all of you who want to remember what your car looked like before you did any modifications!...LOL
