North Austin Dealership: Seeking Advice

Hi guys,
I did search but the majority of the searches ended up being 2+ year old about good/bad dealerships in N. Austin.

I just moved here and coming from a great dealership back in San Jose, CA my expectations are definitely a bit high.

Since the recall notices are goind around and my car's rear lenses seem to have more condensation than usual(water inside after yesterday's rain), I need to take my car to a dealer nearby.

I live NW by Steiner Ranch so something close to 620/183/2222 will be better.

Appreciate your advice,
Thanks
Carlos

As I'm from Austin as well, I'd be interested in hearing about this. I've been to Mazda South once and it was just okay... the service took a while but they were under construction at the time.

Anyone know about Roger Beasley off Burnet?

I've heard Jay from Northpark Mazda in San Antonio is really good as a technician, so if you ever needed anything major it may be worth the drive.

I always take my car to Premiere Mazda in Georgetown, which is just north of Austin. That's also where I bought my car 2 years ago. I've never had any problems with them, and their service always seems to be good. I'm bringing my car there next week for the recall work.

I didn't buy my car there but I wish I did. I get all my service done there. They are great.

I'll second the opinion (or third it as I see someone else has replied). I see Andy Jabsen when I'm there...always a great guy who knows his stuff (as a service writer).

If you're looking for a "non-dealer" alternative, we've got one of the best in the business here in Austin. Check out John & Corky's

I'll also recommend Premier in Georgetown. It's actually just south of G'town off Westinghouse Rd and I35. The only unfortunate thing about its location is they have to drive you down to Round Rock to pick up your loaner rental. They have said they are looking for a better alternative to this though.

I just had Mazda South do my stuff and they did a fine job. They just moved into their new digs, so I'd give them a try. The guy working on mine was a heavy-set hispanic guy that did a good job--didn't catch his name though.

Jay at Northpark is a god. I'm not even sure he bothers with diagnostics... he just knows... When I worked over that direction he was my go-to for my RX-8 issues. He's really good at explaining the problems and pretty well described to me why my engine cratered.
