Well hey guys, Thought I would drop by to see the scene in the south. Im currently in Afghanistan at the moment and have about 4 months left over here. Im stationed in Fort Hood and was going through forums and this forum caught my eye.

A little about myself. 23 Years old in the US army. Satellite communciations specialist. Loved cars for as long as I can remember. I've been working with European cars for the last couple years. Own a 2005 Mercedes C340 and 1998 Jetta VR6. Been talking to a lot of people while here in afghanistan and decided that I was going to buy myself an RX-8 as my own Xmas present when I get back.

Coming from the engines i'm used to in Audi's, BMW's and Jettas, The rotary engine fascinates me. I plan on having some fun with this car im getting. Hopefully a new toy for it every paycheck.

But I was wondering how is the scene in the Central TX area? Are there get togethers in Killeen area. I've seen some in Austin while my euro buddies were driving through. How is the Dallas game? I travel to dallas a lot to visit family and go out every now and than.

Well any info would be greatly appreciated. Hope to be meeting some of you out there when I get back. I have lots of questions for you guys. Well thanks and see you around.

Lol nice a NTX Lounge. Hopefully ill get to have some fun with this. I know the Euro group im with is pretty jacked im leaving the scene. I just sold my 98 Jetta VR6 to my brother as a early Xmas/birthday present. Kinda dissapointing, it was my baby lol. These rx-8 seem like they are going to be fun to have. It might be a new experience with these.

 

Btw that is a damn sexy car you have there.
