iced in, whee.

Okay, so its oklahoma and usually we dont get hit that hard with ice. Yesterday we had an ice storm come through and put a quarter inch+ of ice over everything. I made it to work slowly but carefully on my summer tires. Over night, the roads totally iced over and this morning i started 25 minutes early to try to get my car out.

Thawed it out, then realized I couldnt get out of the parking space. Won't even budge. I got out and pushed it a bit.. got back in and just sits there and spins(if i remove DSC).

Never before have I been literally stuck in. Finally limped the car back across a couple parking spaces and shut her down. I'm not going anywhere today.

Kansas City is a frosty wounderland as well my 8 driven brother, of course seeing as how I am stuck with a Ford Ranger 4x4 I had no problems but it was a slow day at the bank, we even closed early. Have a warm drink watch a movie on TV and enjoy the weather forced vacation.

i'm in tulsa and we were spared on the ice storm. we got some freezing rain, but our roads were spotty at worse. my "winter" car's door was frozen shut when i tried getting into it last night after work, but the passenger side was kewl.

the last time my "8" was driven was last saturday and won't be out again until rain comes to wash all the sand away they so quickly dropped.

you would laugh, if you saw my garage. my "8" is positioned on the left side with my '02 r1 in front of it. my '01 r1 sits in the middle and my intrepid sits on the right side....taking up the lion's share of the room, i might add.

it was a balmy 37 degrees in the garage while it was 9 degrees outside.(brrrrrr)
