Question

i was watching tv today when my friend called me up. he was getting off from work when he saw a red rx8 pull up next to him. he said that the guy revved his engine and to him it sounded like it was a mustang engine but it had a softer note to it. well he said that it looked pretty fast and that it sucks cuz he really didnt see the car run because of all the traffic. i was just curious and you probably already mentioned this but when did the rx8s get delivered to the houston area?

Houston delivery started last week.

And it sure wasn't me revving the engine... and sounds like a mustang? bah! you can't hardly hear the engine/exhaust unless you have the revs well up the dial. If you see me around town, I'm the guy driving slow - until everyone clears out, and its time to open her up.

does anyone have the RX-8 in kingwood? If so let me know. I am thinking about buying one but would like to check it out for myself. Also why are some people waiting for the 2005? Is there going to be any changes?

So are there any other 8s in Houston on this board? I still haven't seen any driving around yet, and I haven't heard of the Houston crowd on the board picking theirs up yet.

I have been driving mine since last Wednesday. I live in NW Houston, and have the windows tinted, two coats of Zaino (so far), and approx. 600 miles around town. Might have seen me!

I have only seen a silver one on the road so far (mine's yellow).

Make sure to wave.........

stopped off at Gullo on the way home from Conroe this weekend.. looks like we are most likely going to get the Green with the Camel inserts..(when, I'm still not sure) the car has so much sophistication in that scheme... Lori (girlfreind) says it reminds her of a Euro / UK style saloon with the tna on green.

we both really like titanium still.. but we just aren't sure about having to share a color with 45,000 other cars on the road.

Amen. I know silver looks good and the grey has a nice understated look, but I feel swarmed by grey and silver cars anytime I get on the road.

Well if any of y'all see a red GT with no tint (currently), around the Galleria or the west side of town, wave - there's a pretty good chance it's me - I still haven't seen any on the roads in town other than what's in the dealer's lots.

I agree...but since im under 25 any bright color (that attract cops) should be avoided....I dont wannna get caught doing dumb things. Some of my other friends have mentioned that they get tired of the color red/yellow after a while. Since this will turn into my daily driver, I dont wanna regret the color. I do think there are too many silvers (ie BMW 3 Series) on the road but it's not everyday that u see a "Grigio Titanio (ie Ferrari)." :D

since we're talking about sightings...

I saw my first one last Friday(?) going west on the SH225 feeder and then darting north onto the Beltway 8 (just before that huge bridge). It was red and the driver (male) looked about mid to late 20's. For those of you familar with the area, it's where all the contractors come out of all those chemical plants next to the ship channel.

Boozie - where are you based. I work in Greenway Plaza so you might see my red one some day.

That was probably me out on 225 - I was out that way at the end of last week to visit a client's refinery - made good use of the nav that day...

Pelucidor - I work right next to the Galleria in the "Lake on Post Oak" complex. Other than that, it's usually back and forth to Katy.

I didn't order mine I just went to the dealer and as I was there they were unloading one W/ the options I wanted and I took it right on the spot. I actually bought it from RX8 Seller!
6speed
Touring Package
Appearance package
Rotary accent Package
Wing
6 disc
Still gotta order the spare tire

BTW RX8 Seller I applied the Zaino Brothers Polish and the paint in nice and safe now It's still slick I had to wash the car, Clay bar it, Wash again, then apply 3 coats of the swirl polish and 3 coats of the Z2 polish and between each coat was an application of Gloss enhancer. I love that stuff the car was looking bling** bling** hehe
