Harris Hill Question.

Is the course open to non-members? Do they allow single day "memberships" as to allow a single 4hr session? I'd like to take on a roadcourse but i can't afford the 900 dollar starting fee and 1500 dollar security deposit required for membership. on top of that... the 90 dollars a month, tires, etc, etc... just an open question.

Various car clubs hold Driver Education events out there all the time.
For $150-$200 you get a bunch of track time with an instructor in the car
with you.

Check the track's website (http://harrishillroad.com)
for their calendar...

Hey Rotary_Guy...I am in New Braunfels and have been on the lookout for a good local track too. Harris Hill seems to be more of a facility for the non-casual tracker. Bummer...since it os SO close.

I am thinking that the Driveway Austin facility might be a better fit and is what I am looking into. They have a driving school for various skill levels that I am thinking of enrolling in. $295 for a road racing class...6 hours long 60% of which is in your car...after you take the class you have to log 10 short course practice sessions and then do a check-out drive...then you are qualified to run the short course. The website does not mention any deposits...just track fees for 20 minute blocks of the different courses.

Harris is great though, we need to setup a meetup there. I am in San Antonio but I lived in NB for teh last 10 years, I have been following it throughout construction. Great course.

I am waiting to see if the guys would let me tag along for the Valentines Day drive of the sisters. Hopefully it won't ruffle any feathers and I will be welcome. Are you going to attend that drive?
