Greddy turbo install
I will be installing my greddy turbo in the next couple of days, So if anybody in Texas that would like to come by and help is very much welcomed. This will be my first turbo install, I have a couple of friends that have extensive knowledge on turbos and will be there to help, but more info is always appreciated, because I would like to do it right the first time. Thanks and wish me luck.

Looks like I won't be getting the turbo kit until next week. I just called today and the company I ordered the kit doesn't get the kit until friday and thats when they will send it out to me. They said greddy don't drop ship, that means that they will not send the product directly to the person but rather the company that ordered it. I would like to come out to the meet but I sold my typhoon intake so my car is pretty much just sitting there, I'll be out to the next one when the kit is installed. Hey dtorre we can still meet up if you want just pm me when you get in town, and thanks for the info on the oil restrictor KJ.

I won't have my car this weekend for the show anyway, and I already paid my entry fee. No big deal though as the show is for charity anyway and not some moneygrubbing promoter but I'm still bummed I won't make it this year, last year I even made it on tv, and that was before the bodykit etc. oh well, car is at the dealership getting taken care of for the recall and other problems that were caused by my accident back in April, good news is when I do get it back it will be back to normal, and I'm plenty stoked about that
here's info on the show:

1935 lbs. FTW!
If you were closer I'd come and help. I did a turbo install on my civic when I was 17 and it took about a whole week but it was a good learning experience. You'd be surprsied how many tools can mysteriously dissapear through 1 turbo install as well

Well good news I got the turbo a day early, bad news is I only got half of the parts. I got the turbo, the manifold, and emanage ultimate, but I didn't get the intercooler and the piping. I should be getting them by the end of the week. I got the manifold and turbo mounted. Also got the oil feed and return line on(that was a bitch). Tomorow I'm gonna connect and mount the emanage, and run the line from the actuator to the intake manifold. All in all it wasn't too bad, I'm just glad I searched and did a lot of research on the install of the kit from other members on the site because the instructions greddy gives you will make you go mad. I have 2 question I couldn't find the answer to. Where do I connect the tube that comes off the BOV to?, and where do you connect the tube for your boost gauge? I read that it goes too the other nipple on your manifold is that correct?

Theres 2 good writeups in the major horsepower upgrades sub forum on installing the turbo kit. From my experience i would toss the instructions greddy gives you... because they're total crap, and just use the ones on the board.

Got the rest of my piping and intercooler today, and now I am officially boosted. Car fired up on the first try. No oil leaks no problems, no idling issues, no stalling. nothing. Boost comes on strong around 3gs and holds all the way to redline. I only redlined it once just to see if the boost held and it did. Other than that I have been babying it until I break the turbo in and get my BOV mounted. Even though I really didn't get on it man it is such a difference. I did what philodox did and glued 1 of my screens into the airnix. The only thing that it does is backfire once in a while not a lot but I can live with that.
