Don't know, there will be a large Saturn Sky group out there, always is. As for my Solstice friends, I haven't asked them about it. I will check.

no she has been my best friend for a few years. she works for an audi stealership in dallas and they gave out VIP passes to their best 5 employees and she happend to be one of them. then she called me last night and told me it would be boring to drive her 01 montero on tms and asked if we could take my car. so i jumped all over the opportunity. now all i gotta do is get off work early on saturday to go lol. sorry about the novel

 

It doesn't look like we will have enough people for a "club" group. Did you guys still want to do this?

 

Guys I am going to have to bail on this time. The start time at 5P conflicts with something I had planned previously. I really want to do this, but alas it is still impossible, even in an RX8 to be two places at once.

Even if you can't get 12 together for a reserved time, you can get there and run together and they will hopefully put you with like minded drivers (they seem to try to do that)

Not really....just show up I think, I don't know how it works so I don't know where we could meet up at once we go to the infield. Do we need to meet up before going in to be in a group together? I too can't wait to get my pic in victory lane that will be totally awesome.

 

Ok. Since we will have to be a part of the "general public" event that starts at 7 - do we all want to meet up in Grapevine at 6:15 or so and head over in a group? At least we'll know that there will be a couple of 8's on the track together with all the minivans!

Who all is still going anyway?

 

I'll be there but meeting there would be a bit out of the way for me plus I know a somewhat twisty road I plan to take off the highway to go there that should be nice. Does anyone know what type of payment they accept there?

 

That was so awesome!! I can't wait to do it again! Glad to meet a few people there. I got up to 100 on the back straight going into turn 3, man those banked turns are sweet. I averaged close to 80 or so through turn 1 and 2 a little faster through 3 and 4 and close to 100 on the straights. That was a great experience can't wait to go again, next time I'm buying more laps!

my pic in victory lane will be up tomorrow when i get my scanner hooked up.
i had a blast i pushed the pace car to almost 100 mph it was sweet and my first set of laps i got up to 120 in turn 1 and about 128 on the backside straight but other than that i didnt get much faster.

 

I will have my pic up monday probably. I passed someone coming in as I was leaving, was that you thejew89?

 

How was the turn out?
