wow -- your Racing beat screens must have been stacked on top of my screens on the "to ship" pile because I got my tracking number right about the same time as you :-p

Since i had the screens shipped back to my parents house in Magnolia, TX I'll probably put them on there... it doenst seem too hard to take the front bumper off, besides I need to get some needle nose pliars and straighten out some of the fins on my 2 oil coolers anyway, and hit them with a bit of high temp black paint. Will probably wind up painting the screens themselves black due to my car being black :-)

Mmmm - so many parts on their way/ordered

Racing Beat protector screens - shipped
All Weather RX8 floor mats - shipped
MazdaSpeed front/rear Shock set - ordered
MazdaSpeed Spring Set - ordered
MazdaSpeed Front/Rear tower brace bars - ordered

toxin,
essentially we've been doing it at jenkins house. He has a lot of tools, but if there is anything in particular you think your going to need... ask him first. It looks like for your mods, he'l have everything needed.
just come early, be prepared to work, we'll help out... and also eat

Screens are easy. I took my time and had never had the nose off before and did it in less than 2 hours, but could easily be done in far less once you know what you're doing.

yeah -- thats one thing I was wondering about - I'd love to do as MUCH as I can by myself, I just need to know what I'm doing (and have the tools) haha it makes me sound like a kid but would make me feel so much better if I had some one looking over my shoulder to make sure I didn't F something up or at least guiding me on what to do.

I'm planning on putting my original OEM rubber back on when I go home (only has 8400 miles on them), these all season tires suck for general fun in the summertime/dry. I generally hate buying tires but it seems im set for a while in the tire department, my M550s only have about 7700 miles on them

that shouldnt be a problem. the installs you listed aren't too hard, and I think a few of us here have done them all before.

I'm marking the 29th down on my calendar. I'm hoping that I'll have my car back by then. I don't have anything to install (yet), but I have a few things to remove.

awesome - yeah I was reading some DIY threads here, but I can't seem to find a DIY for the removal and installation of the all weather floor mats and it's freaking me out!!! I really hope one of you has the tools and know-how to help me put the all weather floor mats in, I'd hate to have to call mazda and get their service dept to help me (and charge me 200 in labor)

hehe - I just have to be an *** :-)

damn the front mazdaspeed bumper for being so sexy... thats another $1200-ish dollars that I really shouldnt spend. but but it (kinda) makes the fronts of our cars look similar to ferraris somehow in my mind :-p

Any chance on getting in on this?

I am new to the discussions here and dont have any parts to instal yet but would really like to get involved with things going on. So if things are still planned for the 29th can I get directions? I know I am a newb to all of this but have to start someplace.

Woohoo! 72lbs of MazdaSpeed goodness are on their way to me.

Just to make sure when the day rolls around, Jenkins: do you have all the tools needed to properly install the following:

MS Front and Rear Strut Bar
MS Shocks
MS Springs

I don't know what all will be needed so IF you dont I can somehow get it or maybe find someone who does.

Oh yeah what beer do you drink, I shall at least have to get you a 6-pack or SOMETHING in thanks for letting me use your tools and place. :-D Because otherwise i'd have to pay a dealer booku money to do the same thing, and I'd rather learn myself

My address:

9104 Nathan Dr.
Fort Worth, Tx. 76108
In the Sun View II subdivision.

I have everything except the spring compressor, you should go to Oreilys the day before and rent it, it basically just a clamp.
