yeah i know expecially the ones we were taken at like 75 to 80 mph. i was really amazed at how smooth some were but others were really bad my back was killing me this morning when i woke up(but that might have been caused by passing out drunk on my friends couch)

My car is stock and havent had any problems due to bumps.
I've also made the point countless times that having a lowered car in this state is silly with the road conditions we have here.
I mean seriously they use the streets in some parts to direct the flow of rain water!

Your right that our roads are better than someplace like NYC, but seriously, we dont have the extreme cold and ice issues they do. There is no excuse for the roads to be so bad here.

I vote that its neither. I just dont understand why some of you mod your cars so heavily in some cases..

how did your set-up feel with the Koni/Tein/Sway/strut towers? did you feel your car was too stiff or just right for that type of driving with some unexpected bumps? just wondering...
Brian, you better get used to it, those basics are known to be super stiff

Yeah that was me, not sure why that happened. I was really pushing it hard, I figure it was like what Brian said.. some excess oil being burned in the exhaust. It was the first time that i've driven that hard since we installed the midpipe. But no.. I try to red line daily.

Well I'm not sure for your area, but here in keller the roads are absolute **** with few exceptions. I wouldnt bet that arlington would be much better.

I gotta call you on this one, there are a ton of EXCUSES for the roads to be so bad here, and a handful of REASONS they are not better (see, there's a difference). From personal experience, I can guarantee you that no matter what the state does or proposes to fix it, EVERYONE will bitch and complain. Trust me. It is retarded what the state has had to plan (around much resistance) in order to get the roads in better shape here, how long it will take, and how quickly everyone and their cousin will all of a sudden become experts on the topic and run their mouths like they know anything about it (which in my opinion is what there is no excuse for).

There are several reasons I could see for the state of roads in my area
Poor Planning
Corruption
Poor spending practices
bad engineers
Politics -see corruption
The roads are either well maintained and well designed or they are not. If they are not someone somewhere is not doing their job or not doing it well. (like I said, black and white)
In any case, the reasons aside
Are the roads in this area in need of serious repairs? Yes.
Following that, does it make since to have stiff shocks on your car, or to have your car lowered in this area? No.
