Sucks you guys are going on the 18th-20th. Wurstfest is going on right now in New Braunsfels ... German beer and sausage festival. I was in Austin this past weekend.

You guys should play bar golf if you're gonna be on 6th ... that'll lead to many many stories. hehe.

Bar golf? Explain please. The more post-trip stories the better.

LOL, ok, I google "bar golf" and now I know what it is, but I found the game for Manchester and it has Manchester bars in it. I need 5-6 bars on 6th... anybody help me out?

Ah bar golf ... the fond memories ... or lack there of!

Well first pick out 9 or so bars you like to go to. Time them for about 20-25 per and make sure you have enough time to hit all of them. Then you need a drink list ...

Stupidly rough shot - birdie (-1)
Mixed drink or pint of beer - par (+0)
bottle of beer - bogey (+1)

Mix up the stupidly rough shot at each bar. Makes it more interesting. There are some extra rules regarding it.

No water before the 9th hole otherwise it's a 1 stroke penalty (+1)
Chasing the drink with another drink is a 1 stroke bonus (-1)

You can make up more crazy rules. Typically though it's pretty rough after the 6th hole or so. I played this past Friday ... I was the only person left drinking when we walked into the 7th bar. We couldn't get into the 8th or 9th because the bouncers wouldn't let us through the doors because we were "TOO DRUNK". It's hard to keep up with the score too after a while though I'm pretty sure I won by default this last time ... last man standing!

Iron Cactus is nice

Well the rest are pretty much all the same ... I can list off more if you want.

Guys, you may want to analyze the possibility of taking a little detour through some of the roads highlighted below:

Took that trip a couple of weeks ago, and its amazing! Especially the roads that go "through" Lake Buchanan. Actually....most of the Ranch Roads are awesome. It was WELL WORTH IT.

RX8-TX, You should add the P4 road that runs by longhorn caverns too (going towards 281). You also miss the Devils' Backbone (12); some nice stretches outside of Wimberly.

Also, for those of you who are not familiar with the area , there are some awesome towns to check out & lots to do.

Lake Buchannon area is pretty sweet, lake itself is a bit weird though, sandbars and stumps all over the place, and it just seems to go on forever when you're out there in a boat. lotsa fun roads though, almost enough to make me want to live out there (just too dang far to drive to work everyday)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't you the one who wanted the trip in the first place?
