DF/W: Driving School (no jokes!)

This is directed to anyone in the area (specially the Fort Worth area) - I was approached a couple of days ago about the possibility of organizing a driving school / track session @ Motor Sports Ranch (MSR)

For those who don't know me, I am the worst @ organizing things (I always get things done at the last minute); however, if there is any interest to do such a thing, I will gladly pass on J.H.'s contact information to anyone who thinks can take on the task.

From my part, I'd love to attend it. The price doesn't seem too unreasonable, although the number of cars is a bit steep.

Anyways, read below from bottom-to-top:

M.P.,

You can post it. A few more details. This pricing applies to Monday-Thursday only. Weekends at MSR are taken until 06 or the new track is completed. Understand that you will get the best results if you team up with a few other car clubs to keep the cost down. These prices are if someone from the club collects the money and coordinates with me on dates. I will provide track and instructors.

Pricing 30-39 cars =$175
40-50 cars =$125

Track day with your car (BYOC) what you get:
1. Classroom basic instruction.
2. Ride with or follow an instructor around MSR.
3. Advanced classroom.
4. Lead follow at increasing speed on track.
5. Classroom
6. Car control clinic (on track)
7. Classroom
8. skid pad
9. Classroom
10. 20 min open track sessions. Usually from 3-5 sessions a day.

We can customize this as needed.
We will be doing these types of schools open to all makes also.
I would be happy to help!

J.H

J, would you mind if I post you message on rx8club.com? I will bring it up to the attention of the people that are in my area. Would that be alright with you?
BTW, we've been talking about organizing a track/school day for the past year. The biggest problem so far has been to get it organized.

Sincerely,
M.P.-

I would love to talk with the Dallas area 8 owners about coming out to MSR through our school.

As you can see by the web site. We have Mazda 6 school cars. Shannon McMasters is one of the owners (of spec M fame). Let me know if I could come speak to the club. J.H. xxx-xxx-xxxx

i lived in Dallas and Ellis counties during my teen years and thought it was funny that driver education was not government. i had to pay for my own drivers ed. back 10 years ago i was amazed that even Sears had classes. although my poor grocery sacking self could not afford the $300+ for the Sears class.

here in florida, where i was born, driver's ed is taught in high school. but you can take a class like this being offered to avoid getting points added to your license. but you can only do that 5 times in your lifetime. if i wasn't so far away i would be first on the list. have ffun everyone who attends.
