Classic Mazda in Denton, TX SUCKS!

I dropped my 1 week old 05 RX8 off today to get a few things checked out like a door rattle, wheel clunk TSB and non cooling a/c. The service advisor calls me back in 3 hours and says he can't hear a rattle at all, the a/c is cold and there is no clunk so they can't do the TSB.

After sitting in traffic for 1 hr after work to pick up my car I drive it off the lot and onto the highway, 20 seconds later i hear a clunk clunk from the door, the a/c is the same and my car still made a few clunks at full lock pulling out of the dealer lot and into my garage.

On top of that I went into the dealer just shy of 3/4 of a tank full of gas and I got the car back with just barely more than 1/2 tank with only 10 or so extra miles on the odometer meaning those bastards probably revved my car that only has 700 miles on it to 9000 rpms the whole 10 miles they drove it.

On top of THAT they gave me this really beat Mazda 6 loaner that reeked of smoke, was dirty as hell with food crumbs all over it and wasn't aligned. STAY AWAY!

Hmm... that does suck.
I would recommend driving south a bit and bringing your car into Town North. I've had great service with them. There are few other dealers in our area that get a thumbs up from this board as well.

Town North sales was a bunch of idiots, they basically laughed at me when I asked them to get me a 05 sport 6spd for 22 out the door. I went to san antonio and got the deal I wanted instead. The service advisor I talked to on the phone (think her name was Penny) was really nice, are their techs and other service advisors knowledgable? I know i'll never go there to buy a car.

Eldorado is a bit too far for me.

I'd avoid these F'ers like the plague. Search for their fuckup on my 10AE.

Edit for more info for Cosmos:
I had a good buying experience at Classic Denton, but that's all the dealing I've done with them.

Town North has always done right by me for the 2 years I've had the car.

They also service my 10AE Miata.

Not sure what part of Dallas you're in, but if El Dorado (I'll never buy another car from them, but that's another story) is far, then I'm guessing it's not north east. With that said, I know several seem to like the service center at Freeman on 183 just west of loop 12. Granted, they haven't managed to fix my damn door rattle, but they're pretty nice folks and the one I've talked to the most seems to be very knowledgable on the 8.

Freeman is where the sales manager told me that the headlights project in a "Z" pattern because that is the trademark of ZEE-non lights.

I haven't dealt with the service department and hope I do not have to deal with them.

Freeman patronized me because of my age, I will not make the drive again.

I now go to Town North. The service department was a wonderful aberration from every other dealer i've dealt with. (4+ in less than a year). I believe my rep was Vincent, and he treated me right. I'm kind of depressed because in 3 days I return to Houston and have to face the virtual abuse that is Jeff Haas.

They did the same thing to me about 2 years ago. Of course I went to 7 dealerships and the first 6 did the same thing. Thank god for Hiley

I'm in the Carrollton/Lewisville/Plano area fairly far north. I talked to the internet sales manager at Freeman (Brian something) and he was a really nice honest guy. Didn't pressure me and when he couldn't do the deal I wanted he helped me get one from someone else that had more incentives.

In any case, I'll try Town North service next and see if there's a Vincent there. I hope their service is 1000X better than their idiot sales staff.

Jeff Haas was a bunch of a-holes, I agree. I called about 10 dealers in TX to get the best deal on a leftover 05 and they were very rude to me. I ended up buying the car from Ingram Park in San Antonio. The dealer is a POS, the finance dept tried to overcharge me 1000 bucks on my finance paperwork and the make ready dept delivered my car with a bunch of fine scratches/dirt on my car still.

However, I got 10K off MSRP on a 05 and my sales guy was awesome and made everything right before I left so it was still a decent situation.

Thank god for Hiley
Slims8 wins. Hiley is a fantastic dealership.

I need to take my car to them because my 6-disc cd changer decided it was going to stop working today.

*sigh*

I bought and have my RX-8 serviced at Munday Mazda on FM1960 a couple of blocks west of I-45. Have had excellent service and everyone there seems to be very knowledgeable about the vehicle.

I found the rattle by myself while driving down to houston. The are where the drivers door and the dash meet is too tight so some material is rubbing causing the rattle. I'm going to take it to vincent @ town north and see what he can do.
