Im going to be in D-town all next week taking an offiste training class for my new job, I'm probably taking my car too as I've driven rentals/loaners so much lately that I'm due for a roadtrip in my OWN car for a change. You guys got anything going on? Want to try and hook up? Thought I'd throw it out there as I never get the chance to do anything like this and my class goes from 9-4 leaving my evenings free

Canary... there should be a BJs meet in Dallas next week. Its every other week and im not sure what cycle they're on.
If not... there is usually a tuesday meet in ft worth.

it's cool, gulf forum has been kinda' slow lately so I was just being a smart *** anyway I'll be heading out Sunday, I'll probably hit people up again once I'm settled in my room etc. If I can't meet up with anyone it's cool, just thought I'd throw it out there since I'm there a whole week. This is just a week long class for me so there's no way I'll be stuck out, I find it alittle odd nobody from the dfw crew has even responded, they're usually the ones who post the most in here. Dazy loses her car and it's all downhill from there I guess...no trip to Austin this year, no love for me while I'm there a week..I guess I know where I rate..lol....sigh

 

No, the company pays my expenses... the only downside is clinton, arkansas is boring as hell. The biggest attraction in this town is Wal-Mart... haha!! I'm too used to being in college station, where it's much more lively and has a lot more things to do. (This county I'm working in is a dry county... belch)

I've been checking out my digs and such and I can't wait, my class and my hotel are in the same complex, so that should be nice and easy

Woo wee, sorry about this Canary. I haven't been browsing the Gulf section much lately... I don't really know what's going on this week. Jon is out of town until Wednesday so I'm not sure if there's a Dallas meet this week or not, but I think the "on" week just past. The FW crew hasn't been meeting up lately for various reasons, a.k.a. life. The big monthly meet is 2 weeks away... goodness, I didn't think it was possible to choose a bad week to visit us...

my sister lives in Mckinney, I got to go watch my nephew play little league there on Monday, what a coincidence! I'm right at 635/75 by the galleria, last night I went there and picked up tokyo drift and watched it on my laptop in my hotel room, haven't had to drive all week, it's been nice I'm still down for whatever, and if not there's always next time

 

canary, I get out to Austin at least a half a dozen times a year and generally try to give notice to any owners out there that I will be in town. How come you've never responded?

The next time I'll be out there is the weekend after Sevenstock which would be the first weekend of November. I'll be in Round Rock at least 1 but maybe 2 nights. We are going to drive down to Wurstfest in New Braunfels.

(that's the only thing I can think of, now I'm bothered that I've never responded, looks like I need to do some searching and see what happened as I'm not one to ignore people on purpose w/o reason)

Will you be getting into town that weekend or earlier in the week? if you can make it down the first we'll be having our monthly meeting and you could meet a lot more owners etc. all on one night

We've been getting all our lunches catered so I wouldn't be able to do that (the food has been AMAZING, I've never seen anything like this gig at all) so do you work in the mall or just this area? Dang it, if you were in the mall last night I could have stopped by and said hey lol

 

I work in an office building not attached to the mall. Big hospital company with a bigass sign on the top of the building.

That Hilton is really nice. the food is way better than the Westin attached to the mall.

 

took a drive down preston this evening, my sister was teling me it's "old money" and that there are some amazing houses and she wasn't kidding, frickin' baller 6 figure sq. ft. for the win lol Some of those homes were so big I thought they were offices or businesses. I was going to grab some food at a Houston's I found, but the wait was over an hour so I went to the crz happy meal mcdonald's instead
