UPDATE:

No crush washers avail from Roger Beasley...Service department guy said that they usually put the old ones back on...dont know what's up with that...its a "special order" at .91 cents each and they would take a few days...since they hardly use them apparently...

I completed my Royal Purple Raids...I now have...

12qt's (1 case) RP 5w20
14qt's RP 75w90
1 "fluid" Pump...heh

10am See you there

cool, anyone bringing food/drinks? I plan on leaving a little early and stopping somewhere so if anyone has any requests I'll check this thread and pm's before I head out tomorrow.

Don't forget to set your clocks ahead tonight!!!

forecast calls for rain this evening, possibly as early as noon. We have a 70% chance for showers tonight, and evidently a 30% chance during the day, so it's looking a little grimm. I'm going to go ahead and get ready and start getting stuff together to head out, if you see this before you leave and are hesitant to come out it's all good, I've already got an alternate day set for the 25th, same time same place, hopefully no rain if we get some today

UPDATE:

We're here and waiting

Unfortunately we hit a small snag, if you show up and the gate is up call the shop at 832-9055 and we'll come let you in, the gate is programmed and since nobody is open in the complex on Sunday it stays shut, so we'll have to improvise to get people in here lol
I hope everybody gets this, if not we'll have a small sign up as well.

Sorry I missed you Sovine. It was great meeting you guys! Next time we will have to do it when it is nicer out. Even though there was not much being done it was great to put faces to the names. Do to babysitting issues I had to cut it short but next time I will plan far ahead so I can actually get some wrench time in. I also look forward to attending some of the other Austin meets on the weekends. Us SA peeps should plan something as well.

Thanks to all who showed up, had a good time and enjoyed meeting everyone. Sorry for any confusion and for the crap weather, we still managed to get some things done and hang out etc. so it's all good. We'll probably do this again at some point and next time I'll try and get things organized a little better

No, thank you Canary. It's a start, I was not expecting 20 cars to show up. I have had a lot of experience with clubs in the past and it just takes time. I really did'nt have time to go today but I did it anyway because I knew if no one showed up it would probably nix any chance of future meets. I have a few friends that are into cars but they don't get into the whole "meet" thing unless it involves women. It is great to meet you guys.

Later.

Haa haa...TMI romy TMI...you got dibbs...I figure I'll probably get to it in the next month or so...probably about the same time I get to replacing the cat-back...I'm thinking that the set costs approx $340 from RB so I might let them go for $250 front/rear...Let me know if that will work out for you...

Now only if I could find a decent cat-back for a resonable price...

Good group of peeps showed...Good meeting everyone...I for one got a few things out of this little get together...most importantly...I learned a few things and met some great people...

Still left to do is do the tranny/diff fluid swap...we did manage to do the engine but lacked the right socket for the diff. I'm going to go grab that later today so when I meet up w/ Sovine in the future...we can get er done.

And for the record...KDW NT's perhaps instill TOO much confidence in wet weather...definately give them my stamp of overwhelming approval...

BTW: I was talking about these coilovers earlier..

+1 on the kdw's in the wet, omg I felt like I was driving on dry pavement, if not for the water on the road and on my car being wet a dead giveaway I'd never even know it was raining. Probably scared the **** out of a lot of people on the way home as I was flying by

No kidding...I was passing on mopark at 70ish with no worries...even over puddles it stuck to the ground...first time I have been able to drive over 45 without using the death-grip...in solid rain too...normally I'm death gripping at 25 with morning dew...

yeah, best feeling was turning into riata trace this morning, it's a right hand 90 degree turn that usually sends my car sliding straight about 6-8 feet inches away from the oncoming curb until right at the last second it grabs, today I totally turned in quick and got on the gas and nothing, no swerve, no breaking loose. I'm still sitting at my desk this morning stunned, i too was a "death grip" victim before lol

Eviltwinkie,

here is the post for the exhaust I was telling you about for $299.00 + $72.00 shipping.

Not the best I know but if a low price is what you are aiming for I don't think you can do better.

How about you just let me buy the Corksport. You know you want one brand new and not that used crap.
