Online Store is not going to ship until tommarrow which according to the ETA will not arrive until monday.

I am therefore moving to backup plan B...I located two different stores where I can pick up the required qty of RP fluids. I have already picked up most and will complete by tommarrow.

On a positive note...I FINALLY got the BFG KDW NT's installed today...

Best...tires...ever...

I'm still not sure if I wanna go...I'm tryin to find out if anyone wants to go with me. I need to get my brake calipers painted. Anyone else interested in doing that? I wouldn't mind putting in some RP tranny fluid either.

That's cool.. I actually have brake caliper paint (red), from a friends car. Austin, is kind of far from DFW, but the more the merrier.

Actually I wouldn't mind doing that, wish I could find a place that carries G2 locally since my powdercoating idea is going to cost over 500 bucks when all is said and one.

On another note, I hate to jinx the whole thing but we do have a 40% chance of showers that day, that could all change in the next 3 days but if nothing else, we may need to shoot for another day. (ugh lame) The shop owners will be at our TexasRxs meeting tonight so I'll make sure to get another day set aside if we run into any problems weather wise with this one, I have not been able to visit any local oil change/auto parts stores so I'm still not sure what to do there. I am off tomorrow and will be running some errands so hopefully I can sneak by a couple of places and get that settled. Either way, hope it all works out and I'll keep y'all updated if anything new comes up

Screw a bunch of rain! Ah ... we'll work it out. I'm thinking about changing the tranny and diff fluid now. I'll go find some 75w90 for it. I saw some at hte local pep boys. Tranny is little noisier than I remember it so it can't hurt.

My coilovers will be here by then too ... not that I'm going to put them in on my own. I'll bring them by so we can gawk at them.

maybe we should test fit on my car?

in other news, spoke with the owners tonight so we have a (ugh, heaven forbid dammit) rain day set aside for the 25th, the 18th is a club drive and Saturdays are out as the shop is open (unless we can find another place or whatever)
Nice turnout at tonight's meeting too, despite the fubar parking we have there now

Hehe ... sure. Not! Sorry I missed the meeting. I'm working this goofy graveyard shift patching all of our customer's systems for DST (which by the way is the stupidest thing he's done yet).

Why don't we install them on Sunday?

Coilovers are a pretty big install that I don't want to take on (especially getting them right). I'm getting them put in later, tuned, the car aligned, and corner balanced.

It's not that big of an install.. especially if there are a bunch of us. I mean, just springs, are much harder than coilovers, and I did mine in 4 hours with hand tools. But if you don't want to, then that's cool.

UPDATE:

I cleaned out the South Lamar Pepboys....I have...

6qt of RP 75w90
12qt of RP 5w20

I am going to pick up the remaining 2qt's of RP 75w90 today.

AVENGER:

You asked for 6qt's of RP 5w20...I have already allocated those 6 out of my case.
Did you want me to grab 4qt's of RP 75w90 for you too while I was at it?

SOVINE:

You got dibs on the 4 qt's out of the 6 I currently have so no worries your taken care of.

I also picked up the pump...

Anyone else need anything???

SIDE-STORY:

So the lady at pepboys started wondering why I was raping the RP like a crack fiend..."no car ever needs that much fluid"...she complained that they would have nothing left until the next shipment...

I asked when the next shipment was...and she got quiet and said she didnt know and gave me the "theres something wrong with you" look...

I think shes on to my plans to drive pepboy's out of buisness by keeping the Austin RP supply dry...

Should have asked if she would have liked a fluid exchange for herself.

So can you recap the address for me so I can map it. 10:00 right? I'll attend to help out and then hopefully my warranty will be up by the next meet and you guys can witness some purge. It is killing me having the kit just sitting there but the agreement with my wife was to wait and I bought it early sooo... I have a few issues I'll be dropping the 8 off for before the warranty is up and then it's on like donkey kong.

oh yeah, the only thing changing our plans at this point would be mother nature, or the end of the world due to DST tomorrow
Rain won't be here until Monday as the front blows in tomorrow evening

I don't think I'll be going - when you paint brake calipers, they should be left to be dried for a significant amount of time, right? I gotta be here in the evening.
