sorry man
maybe we should try and set up an Austin-S.A/ San Marcos etc. meet or something, we did that before with the DFW crew back when Dazi was still around and it worked out well, I don't see a reason why we couldn't try something like that at some point with the SA/SM/NB guys/girls right?

I think our current problem is still a location...and if we should split it into two groups since we seem to have the ability...

I for one vote for a single group thing...everyone in the same place, same time..

Ok... looks like the majority is down for Austin (I hate all of you!), so now let's settle on a date. So far canaryrx8 has been kind enough to "set-up" something for the 11th of March. How many are down for that?

March 11th is no good for me, the 4th would be great, but majority rules.

Sooner the better for me. My transmission is crying! Either weekend works great for me. I can supply drinks (soda, beer, water) but I am retarded when it comes to flushing anything, including the toliet. I can be the "tool bitch" though.

We're definitely confirmed for the shop here in Austin, I just spoke with the owner this morning and he's good to go, I'll also mention it next week at our TexasRxs meeting and see if any club members want to come hang out and help, watch, make fun of or whatever Now all we need is some good weather

Cool. Just curious but who'll be doing what?

I'll be changing oil and cleaning my air filter (maybe put my street tires back on if I've been lazy and still using my track tires).

If I don't take my car to the dealership first to get the tranny and rear diff changed out that is what I will need HELP with doing. If I already have I will just show up and drink some beer... check out the rides.

Ok so looks like it's happening on the 11th in Austin at canaryrx8's place, which by the way, thank you.
What time should we meet up? Also directions would be nice.

I don't really need anything done, I'm not due for an oil change for another 1500 miles and I only have 22,000 miles on the car. So I don't really know what else I need to do. But I'm down to stop by and meet some of you guys, and of course lend a hand if needed.

I just picked up a new battery today (Optima Yellow Top) so I may or may not be installing it then, I might not be able to wait that long lol Either way I'll be there to hang out, meet people, help out or whatever

edit: would anyone be interested in 2 Falken ziex 512s? I'll bring them and let them go CHEAP if anyone wants them. They're hardly used, 245-40-zr18 size.

That is a badass battery. I have the Optima Red Top.

I never got an alignment after getting my springs put on about 3 1/2 months ago. My back tires are going bizald. Even 420 UU tires , lol.

cool, almost did the red but the yellow is more geared for car audio which is the only reason I swapped it anyway, plus it matches and Austin summers are notorious for killing batteries anyway lol My new tires should be here tomorrow (i hope i hope i hope!) so if you want the Falkens I'll bring them on the 11th.

I'm shooting for 10am, I'll clear that with the shop owners this week.

Their address is listed on the website I built for them at www.audiofxaustin.com, I can give directions as well and my cell if anyone needs help finding it. It's basically about a block off 183 in the hood behind the humane society on Georgian, it's not real hard to find and there's about 10 different ways to get there depending on where you're coming from. Another option would be to meet somewhere central (like we do for the TexasRxs drives) and follow me down there or something as well, just let me know what I can do, the sooner I know the easier it is to plan and stuff

There are a couple of car parts places(autozone, pepboys etc.) in the area that can probably take our discarded fluids, not sure how we're going to tackle that yet. But either way, I'm sure we can figure something out. I figure 10am is a reasonable time to start, with Sunday being a "school night" I'm not sure how long we want to go to feel free to post any suggestions, ideas, whatever, anyone have room for a cooler? lol

What the hell, you obviously never played SPYHUNTER. I have a oil slick button on my dash for pesky tailgaters. lol

Nah, we should just gather all the fluids in a big plastic bin and put a bow around it and drop it off on the front steps of the pep boys on research blvd... I dislike them.

cool, we can even skip the bow if you like I got my new tars this morning, bfg kdw nt's, I had crap generic tires before (in the front anyway) and just realized this morning after driving a short distance on these that I'm never ever skimping on tires again, ever. There was a guy there that offered me cash for my falken's so I went ahead and did that, nobody here (or in the fs thread) mentioned anything about wanting them, they'll probably show up on ebay anyway lol

The no skimping on tires is a good thing ... until you run two sets ... and you can chew through a whole set in 4 months (track) ... and they are stupidly expensive to replace. At least now I won't wear through street tires as quickly anymore ... good 'ol SPTs.

Yeah... when I bought my car I told them they had to give me 4 new tires because the 225/45 bridgestones were bald.

So they just took the price of those tires together and deducted it off the price....

Well when I went to get tires I really wanted 245/40 but didnt have enough money to get the really nice ones. So I just got by with Kuhmo's.

I want some potenza's though.

Well, as a last resort, I can collect whatever is leftover and just dump it here at my dealership. BUT this is just as a last resort. I don't really want to drive back to San Antonio with 30 quarts of used oil in my 8.
