just work, I believe our monthly meeting is Wednesday too, I'm going to try and make it, maybe leave early from work or sneak off for a bit or something. I'm glad to hear Renee fixed you up "2tone" lol, he's a great guy and a badass body man
I did forget about the cost of main event, there's other stuff to do as well. I know most of the club functions involve drives, but I was thinking maybe we could have movie nights or all meet somewhere nice to eat or some crap, anyone got plans for the game tomorrow? I might be up for watching it somewhere if enough people want to go watch it or whatever.

yeah, don't care about the game either, but it is an event and historical etc. so I'll watch it with good company, don't really care otherwise, might actually go skateboarding while it's on as most places will be vacated lol You should swing by the shop sometime, it's not a thrill a minute but it's fun bs'ing around and playing with cars etc. We'll be tearing into mine soon to compete in the sound competitions this year, just got a ton of product from my new sponsor and we're gutting everything and re-doing it all to make it compliant with the competition rules etc (lotta work ahead, can't wait to start on it!)

Ya Ill let you know if my buddy calls, if not, we'll come hang with ya! I really want to start on my turbo project but with all the crap thats going on at my job, Im not sure if I want to invest the money. I should make out pretty good on my tax return so maybe Ill use some of it for my kit. I have a week mandatory time off in March so thats a good time to install a turbo! Plus it also depends if Im gonna sue Mazda or not. Im getting a bunch of slack about that crack on my bumper so it may come down to us going to court. They just need to get their heads out of their asses and stop trying to blame someone else and just fix my phucking car.

yeah, if they cut you any kind of a check I can probably help you get a kit on that thing lol sucks they're passing off a repaint as new, unbelievable how companies do business these days, especially with the current state of everything, I'd think they'd be trying harder to keep your business etc.

yeah where has all the honesty gone??? haha they repaint it then tell you to your face that no body has touched the car with more than a fingertip. anyways srry i didnt catch the events earlier they had me work of course. but if youre tearing down your car im definately down to help im off thursday and friday if anybody else wants to make an event out of it? and i hope that i make out like a stolen car with my tax return as well. i think ill use it towards new tires brakes and rotors then its an exhaust. and finally the turbo after about a year of saving

Im gonna be giving them a call tomorrow and give them one option, fix my car or Im going to sue the dealership and they can have the car back. THe more I look into cases like mine, the more I like my chances of winning if it comes down to going to court. Ive done a lot of research and most people come out with new cars. If I do go to court, Im going to tell them to keep the car. I love the car to death, but the difference in the actual value of the car and what I owe is just to great. This way I can get out from under it, and just get something else. THinking a C5 Vette!!

An R3 would be cool if the car itself would hold some value. If I can get out from under this car, my next car will be something thats either not near as expensive, or it holds its value a little better. I can get a 2004 C5 Vette Z06 for 27k. My car is an '07 that I paid 34k for and its value is 16,500. The math dont add up to buy another 8!

They want me to bring the car home so they can fix it. They told me they can do it in a day and half. He said he can do it without blending the bumper into the fenders and hood. I think its going to look like **** but he assures me I wont be able to tell. How is he going to get away with not blending a 3 tone paint?? I dont see how he will get the car to change colors at the same time. I think whats going to happen is when certain light hits it, the bumper will be blue and the car will be green. THen in a different light, the bumper will be green and the car will blue. If it dont look right, they will keep the car till its right. He said my car had less than $500 damage on when it had its "transportation fix" and its not enough to sue. Im making out really good on taxes so Ill prolly go ahead and buy a new turbo kit instead of looking for used. They dont come up often enough.

well when do you plan on heading back home to get it fixed? you'll have to take pics when it gets done so the rest of us can see it. and a new turbo definitely sounds like something i could use right now. does anyone here know of any tracks close by that we would be able to use for a run or two? not drag, something more like formula one with all the turns and maybe a straight or two...

There's a couple in and around here, there's a place called "the driveway" or something like that, there's harris hill road which is just before San Marcos, there's MSR and 1 or 2 others I think. We're also surrounded by 100's of miles of unbelievable twisties and fun roads also known as the "hill country" which is what I use since nobody charges me to drive on those roads

Im going home this Sunday. I originally was gonna take the Tahoe cause its big and I fit in it, and I have a DVD player. 17 hours will be a long time in the 8! Ill send some pics when I pick up the car. They said it will be done in a day and half. It'll be there first thing Monday, so I will pick it up mid Tuesday. I told them I was only there for 2 days.

S. Padre is just as bad and I'm going up there in March for a show. I call bs on not blending it but whatever, maybe they have a painter from Hogwarts or some other mystical land that waves a magic paint gun and all our troubles disappear

(seriously though, I hope it all turns out well )

yeah thats gonna be a difficult job to make it look good and maintain the same tone as the other paint on the car because of the sunlight and other such factors that its seen im excited to c how it turns out.

BTW if yall want i opened up a social group for all tx 8's there are already a few members so join in and that will be more discussions but this group here already gets a better deal. and when are we gonna do the next meet and great? any suggestions?
