*Which RBM dealership is this ??
*Should be covered under orig. or last replace. warranty.
*Why injectors in a warranty engine replacement ??
*Old engine is removed & ports easily accessable ??
*Are injectors the only prob. ?? No engine replacement ??
*Get a 2nd opinion FYI from another dealer (Beau @RBNorth, Temple, Waco, New Braunfels), Mazda USA on-line or an indep.shop.
*Call Danny Benzer/Premier Mazda-cost & John/Automotive Specialists-installation.
*Ask to have the factory rep. review the warranty coverage.
*If you survive this latest failure, check the independent warranty advertised on TV perfectly suited to your car; obviously Mazda's warranty or the dealer isn't covering you;
best to be sure which is which.

Hey Larry, engine was replaced and this issue was still present after the fact, I can't take/drive the car anywhere so a 2nd opinion is not really an option, with the injectors costing over 260 bucks apiece I'm ok with the 900 bucks, that sounds about right for parts and labor, I also asked to have my belts replaced at the onset of this expecting to still be employed and only have to face an engine replacement when all was said and done. Right now I have no car, no job, and not a whole lot of money until another week approx., so I'm really kinda stuck and just wanting it fixed. As far as inspiring confidence, I'm done with that, my confidence in my car is all but shot on the other hand, maybe all this will turn out to be a good thing and the car will run great and I'll have a new and improved job soon to boot, that's what I'm trying to focus on anyway, the rental damage didn't cost me anything so at least that was a positive today.

Cedar Park, great memories. I raced a 125 shifter there a couple times, even took a podium once. Great street race about 6-7 years ago.

Is Harris Hill Bill Dolahite's place?

I need to get back down there, maybe I'll plan to drop into TECO in a few weeks.

Thanks man! Im so excited! I got such a smoking deal that I would do nothing but kick my own *** if I passed it up. The kit has 500-700 miles on it, BOV already installed, all for $2100 SHIPPED!!! I offered a guy on the forum $2300 for a kit that had 12,000 miles on it. Im glad he turned my offer down. This was an amazing find. Getting my alarm installed next Monday, so Ill be talking to Les about when is good to do the install.

man i can't sleep, I might actually get my car back tomorrow, I'm not going to know what to do with myself I put out the resume all over the place this evening, also applied at Rackspace, I had an offer from them back in November to work in San Antonio, so hopefully my turning that down doesn't hurt my chances with them. I'll be hitting up all the state/city stuff tomorrow, I'm still stressed/nervous about being out of work, but I'm also excited about finding another opportunity since that last job was so toxic and a dead end anyway. Congrats on the turbo, I think Les thought you were coming in this past Monday so you might want to check in wth him if you haven't already as he might be thinking he got dissed. (doh )

Nic got me a PS3 for my birthday so Ive been up every night playing it, and when I went to bed, it never even dawned on me that I was supposed to take the car down, damn Resident Evil 5!! I called and talked to him and hes cool with next Monday. We got it situated!

oh sweet, you need to pick up burnout paradise man, we can play online then I've been playing ncaa football 2009 and my last game was 99-0 Texas over Nebraska for the big12 championship, I had a ridiculous 500 yds passing and 150 yards rushing with the same player, earlier in the season I had a game where I threw for over 800 yards A while back I created a player with all values maxed out, i made him similar to me physically (basically a mini-me) and some how I managed to convince him to come to Texas, game's a lot of fun, even if you create a monster player prior to a season there's no guarantee that player will come to your school, I made 1 before and he went to OU The only thing I wish they;d fix is the little glitches, like defensive backs with their back to the qb, players go after the closest player instead of the player with the ball, you lose 12 seconds off the play clock each time it goes to your playbook, which is REALLY annoying when you're trying to run out the clock. I'm listed under canaryrx8, PS3 is a great piece of equipment, if you need any blu-ray recommendations let me know.

Excellent!! I may just go out and get one of those this weekend and meet you online. I went and bought Twister and Gone in 60 Seconds on Blu Ray. I havent watched yet cause I had to go buy a digital optical cable so I can get my surround sound going on. Putting that in today, and all the neighbors will think I have an F5 tornado in my apartment!!

shoot yeah man, burnout is a hoot, not the most realistic game physics wise but it's not like it matters The last update they did they added motorcycles to it, not a whole lot you can do other than ride them but it's still fun, especially the sport bikes as they fly, literally. Gone in 60 seconds is pretty sweet, I bought it for the one part where they show that '59 caddy sneaking by from the rear, that and when biglips pulls up in that Xj220, I actually saw one up close in Vegas earlier this year, might not be the greatest supercar, still awesome to look at though.

if I had the means a move would be okay, but it's just too much money, there's absolutely no way I can relocate right now, If all goes well and I'm working agian soon I'll be out from under the huge black cloud I got left with back in 04, but right now no income+tons of obligations=stuck like chuck.

edit: you guys' aren't going to believe this, the nused/refurbed/whatever engine they put in lost compression, so it wasn't the injectors after all, so now it's getting a 4th (?!?!?!?!) engine put in and is supposed to be done by tomorrow....yikes.

I STILL have no car, might get moms to give me a ride up to the shop tomorrow, Fred's in town (rotarygod) and I think he's meeting a few people at north by northwest(it's up by the arboretum), it's going to be a little sketchy this weekend with relays in town, so be careful out there regardless what everyone does, a lot ot out of town people will be here acting stupid since they don't live here etc.

finally got the car back today, 2 injectors were replaced, new belts and a new engine (well block anyways etc.), car is definitely running a lot better but when I got it my door panels were glowing and stuck, couldn't urn off the led's with my remote as per usual so I guess I'll be looking into that here shortly, car feels brand new despite the boat anchor in the trunk and the worn out shocks etc.

awesome, congrats! Looking over my engine bay they really did a number on it, the heat shield stuff on the firewall got tore up, there's greasy hand prints everywhere, I mean, 2 weeks w/o a car the least they could have done is been a bit more careful and cleaned things up a bit before giving it back, I'm sooooooooooooo disappointed with that dealership, I would recommend staying the f away unless it's a last resort. In other news, I learned some amazing news concerning my car and its upcoming show schedule, my one word clue is Vegas.

yeah man, we're all but guaranteed to be putting my car in SEMA and possibly CES, still working out the details but we're already planning it all out as if we're going to go, I can't imagine my little daily driven road warrior being in the likes of SEMA alongside all those ridiculous rides but it's looking like that's a go. My only problem is I have no job right now, so it's a little overwhelming figuring out how we're going to pull all this off, tomorrow I'm going to start putting together a proposal and contacting some companies to see if maybe I can get some help, even when I had a job I still built this car on a shoestring and lots of luck so if I can get some backing that would really be super awesome since the $$$ is not coming in right now.
