if you do it yourself me and 05rx8(whatever the rest of his name is) would come by and help.

I was looking at the Greddy with the upgrade and the Esmeril. Im not looking too into the Esmeril cause I dont want to change the fuel pump. I just want whatever kit I can run with the Accessport. I dont want the Int-x cause I dont want a piggy back. I just saw the Accessport now lets you adjust all parameters. I trust MazdaManiac makes good tunes but I want something thats made for my car. I have been tuning cars for awhile so Im pretty confident with it. I appreciate the offer to help with the install. When I am ready to make the purchase, I may definitely take you up on the offer! Ive had many forced induction cars but never actually added a power adder. Not sure when the purchase will happen but its in the future!

8k alone for the setup sounds kinda pricey, and another 2k to install it and $250 for dyno time. Granted i dont want the fuel pump but the Esmeril is about 6500 without the Int-x, and it comes with more stuff. Ive got my eye on a used Greddy kit, then I might just buy the upgrade. Im not looking for a stupid amount of horsepower, I just want a little more zip. The RX8 is my second car so it'd be cool to make it a little more fun.

I read about 13mpg with a turbo, is that correct? I drive way too much to be getting that low of mileage

You can get that stock if you drive hard enough. It's all about how you drive. City I bet it goes down a mpg or 2, but highway I bet its close to normal if you keep your foot out of it.

wow really? Can someone clarify this to me, my friend and I were disagreeing which would strain your engine more, Super or Turbo charged? I would like to think since the SC were be putting less HP/boost than the turbo it would be less but he said somethig the SC straining a certain part to be more detrimental than the turbo. Anyone have any idea? im clueless

The ptp does not cost 8K

Its more like

4,500 for the complete kit.

and thats without engine management.

management you can go with cobb or HKS but HKs is like 2,000

install labor is 1,500

I already have the cobb soo i just need to sabve up 4,500 and do the install myself
