I believe you and cant wait. Missed out on Tulsa BBQ last year as I was getting engine work done that weekend (was worth it though). I look forward to seeing everyone, and hope some moded 8's make it up here also. Hardly anyone here in Tulsa has done anything (met a guy a little north of here that had a MS Bodykit, and saw a parked 8 with a chrome gas cover )...and THAT'S about it!

well, crap... we just had some layoffs and the expected "we need more hours from our fewer people" "request" was handed down, so I (and Lindsay) won't be able to make it. Sorry guys, really wanted to get out of town too.

Jeez... 900+ miles to Tulsa. I'm obviously never gonna make it to one of these things.

Our attendance is contingent on the A/C Service at the house.
It quit working yesterday morning, and they're going to have to order parts.
If the parts arrive today or tomorrow, we should be good. If they arrive saturday, we're boned, because we'll have to be home.

We slept at my mom's house in Sherman last night, because it got up to 99 on the second floor where the bedrooms are, and a nice chilly 90 downstairs.

Cliffnotes: we might have to back out, but don't know for sure yet.

Got this off the Oklahoma DPS site....

Does this mean I can take my front license plate off when entering Ok. state lines?

As you cross into oklahoma, yall should all pull over as a group and release your front license plates. What a liberating moment of freedom.

Well, that was kinda fun. Unfortunately I was only there for a little over and hour, before my dyno appointment. LOL, the wayward Texas folks were just pulling up as I was leaving. A little lost, eh? I was hoping to make it back in time to claim Best RX-8 , but after 5 long hours at the dyno, the BBQ was already over. I heard ALWAZL8 took it. Congrats!
Hopfully I'll get to meet more of you in the fall.

They had some issues with the 2 cars that were before me so it took a long time to get me strapped in. Dave came over to the dyno and said the BBQ was over and prizes/trophies were given away. It was good seeing you there, although bad for my bank account 'cause now I want the MS kit again!
The caravan showed up, but it looked like there were only a few cars. The only RX-8 I remember seing from it was ALWAZL8's, but after seeing the driver, I'd change her name to ALWAZHOT!
