2006 Oklahoma Rotary BBQ - May 27
We know everyone had fun at the Quad-State Rotary BBQ this past September... Wanna see how that BBQ got started?
The 4th annual Oklahoma Rotary BBQ is May 27, 2006 in Tulsa, OK!!!
Who: Rotary Enthusiasts from All Over
Where: Tulsa, OK
When: May 27, 2006
What: A bunch of rotorheads getting together to burn rich, drool over meticulously clean cars, eat some grub and have fun!

This sounds cool, but Tulsa is faaaaaaaar! Whew I'll probably have to fill up twice to get there! :0 Then at $3.20 /gallon it better be worth it! Well, don't count me yet. Because I have something important going on towards the end of May and I can't remember the exact dates. But I really would like to if possible. I really enjoyed last years BBQ in Arlington. Are there going to be 7's going too?

Tulsa takes 4 hours from the Plano area. I don't remember if we stopped and filled up or not. With the walkies talkies, the drive really isn't too bad.

We stopped to go pee but we didn't get gas.
I don't remember where that was but we got gas when we got there and then washed our cars.
I plan to go again this year since it's on a weekend.
I'll let you know for sure when we get a little closer.

It is a cruise. We all leave at the same time and follow each other up there. There's a cruise after the BBQ and we all cruise home.

Oh, there will be a BBQ this fall. The Quad-State BBQ is a spin-off from the Tulsa BBQ. Four of us went to Tulsa last year and when the organizers, David and Dan, asked if someone in DFW wanted to host one in the fall, we stepped up. Now there are two BBQ's every year: one in the spring in Tulsa, OK and one in the fall in DFW, TX.

That's awesome Rach! We made the drive the morning of last year and it wasn't too bad - especially since you're so close to the border as is.
MAJOR BUMP!!! The OK BBQ is only 24 days away! As of today we have 82 cars and 50 people registered! Visit www.RotaryRendezvous.com to print off flyers and tag rotaries in your area to make the count even bigger!
If you haven't booked your room already, you better do so soon - rotaries are invading Tulsa and there are only so many beds to go around!
