Well mine settled about an inch I wanted to drop 2" and after my drive I was dropped exactly 3". Which is too low for my city gonna bump it up an inch.

Anybody know an easier way of adjusting the height on the rear without taking the strut off the hub? Cause that's a real pita.

 

I believe this is what the cable extensions are for.

 

The cables don't adjust ride height. They only adjust damper stiffness.

 

^^^ yea what he said. I've been askin around but it seems like taking them off is the only way. They are hard to adjust because there is nothing to hold the inner threads still while you turn the bottom. So I raised the front about a half inch and that is about perfect. Now I just need to relearn how to drive haha.

 

An extra 2-3 sets came over and are still available @ GB pricing for about a week. I will be posting a thread on this later on (as well as hopefully making some room in my PM inbox somehow!)

As far as rear height adjustment goes, if you are looking to do a minor height adjustment, I'd say adjusting from the spring perch wouldn't make any substantive differences with regard to handling.

Ah my bad, this is my first set of coilovers and I'm still learning.

 

thanks tilt I raised the perches about 1/2" in the rear and that put me where I wanted to be. Now I need to find somewhere that can give me an alignment.

Still working on this one. They are definitely available, though I am sorting the details of my vendor status. It expired a few days ago, so my PM box is full with 400+ messages (as you know, standard limit is 200) and I can't make any vendor FS threads ATM. Hold onto that cash for a couple days and watch for a new thread for that last 2-3 sets. I will give you dibs because I know once more info about these Powertrix coilovers is known around the forums, more people will want in on this great pricing

As ooobigfire mentioned, get an alignment ASAP for those of you doing a DIY installation to prevent unnecessary tire wear

Well I have the fronts in. Ran out of time tonight so rears are going in tomorrow.

I had a couple of small complaints though, not a big deal but just a heads up for other people installing.

The upper mount on the front ones didn't line up with the three mounting holes, I had to drill them out a couple millimeters to get it to fit.
The damper adjustment **** is too tall to fit under the stock strut tower bar, I had to cut out some material, about the size of half of a quarter, to get the bar back on.
Just wanted to give a heads up on that one because if you try to bolt the strut bar back on, you'll bend the **** out of the *****. Thankfully I noticed it before I got to that point.

Also, any updates on the extender cables?

 

With regard to the front strut tower issue - I hadn't the slightlest clue as I am currently running the JIC 4-point bar.

As far as the front holes lining up, that's fairly interesting as well. Let's see if this is commonplace with others' experiences. I don't believe there should be any issue in this respect, though I would like to hear what others have to say. I wouldn't foresee this necessary though dremeling out a couple of mm for better clearance never hurts

Thanks for the heads-ups! For the cables, no update yet from Powertrix though I am hoping to hear back within the next few business days.

 

Yea I ran into that issue with the strut bar and forgot all about it. I left it off as I don't have the tools to drill that big of a hole.

Also the holes lining up on the front was a TIGHT squeeze but with about 10 minutes of wiggling around and turning mine slipped in. No big issue, tighter is better right? Zing!

 

Fedex truck just left, they look good but cant install until next weekend

 

More incentive to buy a pretty Mazdaspeed front strut bar?

I'll see if we can get anything revised with the **** design to fit the OEM strut bar. Anyone have pictures of this by any chance?

Got this made today. Many people I have talked to have never heard of powertrix even many of my nissan crazed friends, so I got this made to spread the word.

nothing that I can think of besides cutting it. Shouldn't hurt it much just a bit of an eye sore unless you clean it up nice.

 

Oh, looks very close. With regards to a fix, from the looks of things, one can lightly trim the factory strut bar, use some spacers/washers to help push it up enough for clearance (possibly), or run without the strut bar for the time being. This may not be ideal, but I really need to see this in person before any final word is made. Powertrix isn't going anywhere, so we'll be sure to figure this one out! Hopefully this doesn't create too large an inconvenience for anyone. When new products enter the market testing is done, but there is always slight chance of a hiccup here or there.

I don't think that washers would work. The studs are not long enough to allow for the space needed.
