It seems like the bolt would still hold up, it doesnt exactly need to be torqued down. In any case you could just use the stock housing, even if you got the tinted one, its not much different than the clear one. Just make sure you use the stock gasket as well.

I ended up just using the gasket that came with the light... after a rainy day I checked and there were no leaks.

Hm... the more stories I read from people having various types of issues, the less likely it seems that this'd be a worthwhile purchase.
Pity

To be honest, the light really does look sooo much better than that stock red light. This was well worth it in my book

Yeah, I decided I need a replacement because there is no way I am going to settle with using my stock housing when I ordered SMOKED for a reason :/

It seemed as though this thread started out nicely but is turning into a fail. I want this 3rd brake light but not if I get stiffed like the last couple of guys...

Was it ever established what sort of surge protection is built into this circuit? It seems like a very cool addition; but, I'd hate to install it, only to have it fail in 4 to 6 months.

I feel for you dude...your patience is really being tested. I am sure you have already tried but in case you haven't, after applying goo gone let it sit for about a minute, and then try rubbing it off with a wet chamois. Good luck!

The lights do look good though

It isnt coming off, ive tried 2 different kinds of adhesive remover and I am at my limits.

Dispute Opened. I either want a refund, or a functional, correct looking item.

Well paypal apparently isn't any help and the dispute ended with a sorry, we only guarentee shipment of the product..... I thought they helped with different than described and faulty goods as well. I guess I can just swap houses and smoke them myself. In the meantime I guess I will sell the rsx ones to recoup my loss.

Sounds like paypal is giving you a runaround. I've had issues with products paid with paypal in the past, and was always able to get a refund. You might wanna push a little harder!

Saki - you gotta make this right! WV's issues have been going on for about 2 months, 1st a wrong light and now this. I am still waiting for a return label for the rsx light also, it wasn't included with the 2nd shipment like you had mentioned.

I say sell it if you got the right one now. Screw them. Serves them right.
